I had this experience also.

There was this guy that you ended up flinging a chair towards though... ;p

Hmm... this isn't suspicious at all. Posted Image

It isn't! I was excited for Mechcon because I hoped it would allow for conversations unconstrained by the limits of forums, as well as how the removal of anonymity tends to tone down unnecessary rudeness (I'm a firm believer in Jonathan Gabriel's Greater Internet {Richard Cameron} Theory). This hope of mine proved true. Yes, there were people who were critical, and I had pleasant conversations with them!

And yes, it was noted that the Q&A format needed improvement.

edit: I took so long writing this that I only read Z0eff's comment after I posted.

Yes, there was that one guy I flung a chair at, and and hit his leg with an inflatable hammer, and I also recall doodling a quick Flea for him too ;)

A serious question for those of you whom attended MechCon 2016. If any of you personally interacted with members of PGI staff like Russ, Paul, Tina or Lauren, what were they like in person? It's easy to express hatred and hostility towards a name online but once you actually meet them, how do you feel? Does your opinion change or is Russ still an idiot, Paul still a Balance Overlord, Tina still a Silent Moderator and Lauren a Giant Artist? (Seriously, she looks like she's 6'2!)

I recall some of the Reddit write ups had positive feedback for personal interactions with each of the afore mentioned people.

I can definitely confirm that ordinary people very easily devolve into poopy heads on the internet. I often visualize a face when chatting with somebody online and I've wondered if this prevents me from dehumanizing others on the internet.

As a Canadian, I would ask that the OP not be such a "D-Bag" in future postings. As an aside, Has the OP seen the very short list of Games to come out of the Philippines... LOL!

It's a joke man. Same as I talk **** about my brother for being in the Navy because I'm a Marine, but truthfully I have nothing but respect for all the branches of the military, even through Marines are the best. I also haven't met a Canadian I haven't liked. You guys are great neighbors (I'm American).

Marines are in the Navy, they just let them think they are special so they can be the first in line (fyi my son is an airborne frontline medic - I'm proud and scared at the same time, Semper Fi).
