Probably inspired by this incident...or maybe he was the guy that drew that pic in the article. Alexander Kerensky heh:

...and just to clarify for those who weren't aware, Kerensky was also a real person (https://en.wikipedia...xander_Kerensky) from that period, so I'm guessing this kid was a BattleTech fan and had very, very subtle sense of humor.

No werewolves fighting mechs/10. But I will admit, this one is just the child of a Rifleman and a Night Gyr.

Haha! Nice to see those pics again, wonder where they went.

Yeah, that one looks very similar to the Dragoon. Could be a proto-Dragoon from ages past..

Some of these look inspired by Wolfenstein the New Order's style. Very beautiful artwork.

These are from the boardgame Scythe. It just came out and if you haven't already noticed the art is fantastic. I think someone here *almost* recognized that it was the same game haha. The boardgame itself is fantastic but it does not focus on combat as much as engine building. I still consider this my favourite game of 2016.

Wow, the price on that! But, yes, that is cool.

I just played Scythe last weekend.

WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Someone should mail a copy to Paul and he should use it for ideas in FW.

Game is Hella deep and the Art is amazing.

If you want combat roll Saxon, get a mech early and bully people via tunnel. Scythe seems more about threat projection, though.

Some of it is rather not so lighthearted stuff. This e.g.:

This is Poland overun by two overwhelmingly strong enemies - Soviet Union and {Godwin's Law} Germany - literally being thrown to the wolves. The 17th of September 1939 marks the beginning of the Soviet invasion of Poland, hence the number on the Soviet Mech.

actually...I think I may look into it.... though what I may do is convert things into a non MDC version of RIFTs....as a base system/idea..... and port these designs into it. More in the Post Apocalypse setting than the Chi Town one though.

Ah, RIFTS. Good times.

One of the cool things about Scythe is it has an Automaton engine so you can play a one player solitaire version. Prolly could be used as enemy AI for an RPG if you find a way to port the TT to RIFTS.
