I'm trying to master the Warhawk chassis. I picked up the Warhawk C and Warhawk B while they've been on sale, and I was wondering if the hero mech was worth purchasing as the third variant. I haven't heard much about the clan heroes, and I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinions on the Warhawk hero.

From what I've heard Nanuq is quite good, double UAC10 tends to be quite brutal. You probably haven't heard much since the Warhawk is the forgotten and unloved child of the clan assault family, especially now that the MAD-IIC is out

I personally enjoy the Warhawk, but since I've owned most of the other clan assaults (Not played the Gargoyle or IIC's.), I can feel how much less of a mech it is compared to the others. However, since the Gauss/PPC meta has come back, I wanted to capitalize on the mechs great quirks, which is principally why I started mastering them. (I also just mastered the King Crab, so I wanted to go clan for a bit.)

I am running my nanuq as dual UAC/5 with 6 tons, LRM10 with 2 tons, triple ERML, Mark 2 computer and I think two extra DHS. The 5s don't jam for as long as the 10s do, and the optimal is 90 meters further and the velocity higher.

The opinion is mainly:
The Warhawk is a well balanced, pleasant to pilot Mech with a specialisation on few big weapons.
But since MAD-IIC no one needs it.
I recently played a few matches with a dual LB20X Warhawk. And why? Because I own no Scorch, only the standard pack.
I would even buy another variant, but what would I need even more Clan 85-tonners for already having several MADs?

Yes, but didn't PGI say something about the old experience rolling over? Also, in the current game, it's very helpful to master mechs. It's not like I have anything else to do in game.

Well, supposedly the XP gained will be available for use in the new skill tree system, so no reason to stop grinding.

This is true, it’s more about the C-Bills for a Clan assault one doesn’t really need compared to when you were forced to get 3 variants anyway sooner or later.

warhawk still has energy quirk advantage over mad ii c
so if you're into energy weapons or ppc it's a better 85toner
