Given the damage it soaks up, it needs to be armoured better than any current combat assault mech. This pretty much rules out smaller vehicles, but, at a stretch, might be justified if an Atlas had all it's weaponry tonnage replaced by extra armour for the trip.

Seriously (talking more in-lore here), the only real "VIP" Mech I could think of would be some Davion prince or some such who got his royal a$$ into more trouble than he can chew and now needs immediate evac, no matter the cost.

PS: But then the VIP would have to be a Victor, of course
