turrets that don't switch to your side when you cap flags.
those same turrets took 4% armor off my mech in one shot. so very damaging to lights trying to flip flags.
escort team hides under ecm flags and wastes the attacker who half the time can't get a target lock.
vip mech is NOT slowed by legging him. really?
lights have to flip flags and find the vip.
basically taking turret and enemy fire just to say "over here"
I can't stand this mode even if I am escorting and really hate to have to attack.
Worst than domination on alpine peaks.
Yes I know the attackers can win. but a team that talks to each other on the escort side is nearly unstoppable.

If you're attacking, attack, don't flip flags.
Amusingly, I didn't even know you could capture anything on Escort - really, there's little reason to do so. To win at escort as the attackers is basically exactly like winning on skirmish: Just kill them. If anything, you've an advantage because the defenders can't turtle somewhere strong.
Which is really pretty reasonable. After all, your job is to kill the VIP. If the defenders don't defend him, then just kill him. If they do, then kill them. Either way, blow stuff up; that's your job. Finding the VIP is generally easy, because he'll be near a swarm of defenders.
Not to say the game mode is perfect; it's new, a work in progress. This is always the case with new game modes. The VIP *should* be slowed by legging (he's really not?!) but if not, don't bother legging and just kill him. To be honest, I can't recall many games where it's come down to his getting to the dropship while under fire that would otherwise kill him if he just moved a bit slower.
But, yeah; "just remove it" is useless and counterproductive. They're not going to just remove it anyways, so you're pissing in the wind. Seriously, though, the last thing we need is fewer game modes.
Instead, try being useful and suggesting improvements.

Its the derps running straight for the VIP and dying ^ without inflicting more than 10 damage.

Exactly! in puglandia if one part of your group screws off and doesn't follow a predefined plan your team is SCREWED! attacking or defending. But more attacking. and In puglandia how freaking often does a team work as one.
Escort is a TEAM game, not a pug game. period!

Only will say, Get Gud. Learn to Team in Puglandia. VOIP is OPed. Potatoes will be potatoes in any mode.

As long as the flags are active, they act as Radar and ECM for the enemy. You'll want them at least deactivated or you'll be LRMed where ever you are (without an option to use your LRMs) and the enemy knows all to well where you're coming from.

I can understand OP. The turrets are able to badly damage lights and the radar stations make scouting a sucide mission. However, even with mostly playing locusts (and dying a lot on Escort), I enjoy the new game mode. I'm still learning I guess and happy to see how things play out in the end.

The flags don't have a huge range, and LRM's... well, they're LRM's. Not really a huge concern.

Just don't run off trying to kill turrets alone. This isn't news; turrets aren't new. No different than when we had turrets in Assault.
Just don't take your locust against a turret one on one. That's just dumb.
Flags are not important; LRM's are really not very important. If you're going to fight near one, then hit the turret from a distance and deal with it if you must as a group.

Attacking team has advantage to choose ground, it doesn't have to be in front, it can be to the side of where the defending team is forced to go, the defending team doesn't have a choice in the matter. So in many ways the attacking team has the advantage.
Defending team is fairly simple and that's to eliminate or damage the attacking team enough to allow the VIP through, or delay, but that involves keeping other team under fire and pinned down. This is assisted to a rather small degree by the defenses.
In this mode there is no rush, either side has to wait for the other to make a mistake. But standard procedure for attacking team is to get a couple of the front ECM towers with cover or a hill to fight from behind. The defending team inevitably has to cross open ground and easy marks for LRM's or what ever.
The team with more quality pilots and less newbies will win this just like any other match, with a little bit of luck involved. These days don't underestimate the power or frequency of trolling either, although game play has been extremely excellent for me lately.

Which might mean new players. Is that a bad thing?
Like escort mode. Would love to see a hardcore mode where salvage comes back and units can buy resupplies but then have to escort them against an opposing team in order to put them in their unit inventory.
