I've often heard of a restaurant called Crackerbarrel, but never had eaten there....until now.
When I stepped inside the restaurant I encountered their gift shop first and I thought that I had been mistaken about the place all together. I took a look around and discovered that the restaurant was in back of the gift shop, or rather you had to go through the gift shop to enter it.
I ordered Chicken Fried Steak, which was fairly good, a little dry, but otherwise good. The mashed potatoes were excellent. The wait staff attentive. The only problem I had with the place was the noise level. It was full of older individuals, many of them were trying to shout down their table partners as their co-eaters did the same...resulting in many a one sided non stop conversation at the same table. I found the drinks somewhat expensive, and they used real glass for glasses.

You should get their sour dough bread(you can buy it by the loaf in that gift shop). It's excellent. At least it was when I could still get hold of it.

meh, its just another diner with a 1930s general store attached to it.
as with all restaurants i can afford to eat at, i can cook better than they can.
