No Clan Diamond Shark. We'd be the best Clan for a game like that too.

At least if they didn't have lithium-fusion battery systems which allowed them to store enough energy for 2 jumps.

For Clans a cool cyberpunk Borg kind of thing, like that guy in the Destiny trailer, which is still very cool.
I would even go so far as to say if there were elves in Battletech the would be House Davion since their capital world is New Avalon, which is a very elven name. If by some completely odd chance that elves are ever added to Battletech, do not make them tall since their original name was "the little people". Even Lord of the Rings had some retcon since originally Legolas, a young elf, was so light he could walk on top of snow without sinking and he was the only one who could of the group, even the halfings couldn't, later there were made to be tall and quite large for some reason. (side note, Boromir was the only one who could break through the snow of that magical storm because he was so strong, so the rest could follow, one of his heroic deeds.)

If I created and included every clan and minor house I'd have to make like 40 races, also Diamond Shark didn't win a slot in the initial invasion.

I could set them all to hyperspace lane travel. I gave the Clans a faster travel method because they're supposed to be technologically more advanced.

We got in on the second wave and fought at Tukayyid. That, and the only reason Smoke Jaguar didn't go crazy and create multiple Edo situations is because of we kept our eyes on their garrison troops.

No racial options for that, all the others look too alien.

They got pretty close, and there exclusion from being a second wave re-enforcement Clan was largely because they would have helped the invasion, where as the Nova Cats and Steel Vipers were kind of just anchors thrown around the necks of their biggest Clan rivals. So they were kept out of the fray until Tukkayid was set up.

Why are the Sharks Sedentary? They were chomping at the bit to get into the Inner Sphere, and eventually became interstellar door-to-door salemen.
I can see the stance considering we were desperate to hold our ground in the Clan Homeworlds due to things like our access to HarJel. I'd prefer it be something different, but I'll go with it.

I have to give them negative traits to balance out the positive because that's how the game works, I switched sedentary to slow breeders. Because busy people don't have time for large families.
