They shifted the domination point so far to the other side that the side that used to be advantaged is even more disadvantaged than the other side previously was. All of the matches I've had on this map + gamemode after the change have been complete stomps, or over before the other side can even contest the timer.

King of the hill doesn't work without respawns. And it sure as hell doesn't work on asymmetrical maps.

welcome to a patented PGI "fix"... where it is worse then before they started.

Which makes me wonder... Since the Balance Overlord clearly doesn't play his own game much, if at all, who is supplying them with such crappy advice?

Yeah, you know what else is total crap now?.. Crimson Domination. They moved that point and it's entirely under the control of one side.

The other side can't get to it without walking through a firing line of enemies that have cover. I played it, today, on the good side. It doesn't feel like the other guys have a sporting chance.

Alpine Peeks domination placement is always one-sided. I don't know what best coordinate in Alpine, if PGI only "fix" is moved the domination circle.

Bad game mode on poorly balanced maps. It's never going to work.

There's a reason why most good maps are fairly symmetrical. It's just easier to make them balanced that way. And as for the game mode... well, just look at how other successful games are doing it.

That circle needs to sit approximately half way between the previous location and the current location. Just smooth off that little ledge of that mountain and sit the "communication" tower there.

I'm of the opinion that there is simply no good place to put a domination circle on Alpine peaks.
No cover, heavy sniper map with a side helping of lrms plus a defined area you must stay in? Yeah, that's no going to work, ever.
(On a tangent, though I've only played it twice since the change, I think they might have improved conquest on AP)

On the Crimson change, while both sides can get to the circle quickly now, one side must cross the wide open water to do so in a timely fashion. That was not a good change either, agreed.

They should make two circles, and the timer only goes down if both are clear of enemies.

Or maybe use a different shape than a circle.

Funny thing is the very first domination circle placing was actually quite OK. It was totally in the open so that no team could just go there and camp it. Basically - going there was a suicide, because no matter which side you're on - the other side could snipe ALL the circle safely. That made the matches very interesting if both team knew the ropes - it was about destroying the enemy team while still keeping an eye on the circle, not about going into the circle at all. It was actually pretty unique gameplay for a domination. I liked it.

Sadly somebody having Russ's ear could not get it and now we have a series of terribad circle placements, because the only sane solution for alpine domination (circle totally in the open far away of any cover) was deemed "bad".

Probably help if it was less "king of the valley" and more "king of the hill"

Should be fighting over the high ground, not the low ground.

Had that for the first time last night. That placement...its like they wanted to ensure that the tunnel and saddle are both now moot features of that map, when the saddle and tunnel are what make that map somewhat interesting. Why would you do that?

in PGI's infinite wisdom, they moved the circle without any consideration as to where the spawn points are... they did the same to Crimson Straits.. one side spawns 500m+/- from the circle and one side now spawns 1500m+/- from the circle....
