Stop bringing trial mechs and garbage builds like this into battle.



Just what is this? I've seen so much of this. With builds like this you're making it incredibly difficult for your team to beable or to count on you when you're just shooting spitballs at the enemy.

Also here is no practical reason to ever do less than 1000 damage in 4 mechs other than the pilot in the cockpit. Then again with load outs like this....Flame on.

This further highlights the paywall of getting into Clan mechs...newer or casual free-to-play players generally can only afford IS mechs, and freebies like the above, and their inexperience shows in their builds. If the distribution of newer/casual players was more even between Clan and IS, it would probably help the IS.

I just bought a Warhawk-C on sale for less than 10 mil. And it was ready to use with a decent build.
While a good Battlemaster build costs over 19 mil C-Bills.

The sad part is, that's probably the very best IS has got right now.

I've tried running std engines, they are just too slow and the mechs too cumbersome.

I run XL's in all my IS mech's. Battlemasters too. Its the only way I can come close to competing

Awesome. This post shows that clanners dont really seem to have a clue about the current state of balance. The Blr 2c 5Lpls and XL 350 is a standard build.

That some clanners start laughing when they see this mech called a good build tells enough...

Every good FW-Mech on IS-side sports XL-Engines except Thunderbolts. Whammies, Grashoppers and Battlemasters are all decent mechs with XL-Engines. Standart-Engine means crawling around with 60 kph or so. Big nono in FW. Maybe you could cram a big Standartengine into a battlemaster and use medlas...The gods themselves do tremble...

Awesome. This post shows that tryhards can't see when someone ironically points out problem with caln/is balance. The Blr 2c 5Lpls and XL 350 is a terrible build because XL engine.

Also. I own 40 IS mechs and play IS in FP regularly. But i see you just inferred everything from forum icon. good job.

I am not responsible for your, or anyone elses interpretations of what i say or write. I cannot fathom what mental gymnastics you need to do to interpret my post as anything other then critique of IS XL engine vulnerability compared to clan XL.

he isnt saying that only IS players bring dumb loadouts. but an overwhelming amount of new or just plain bad players do. either from not knowing better or just not caring.

Ignoring sale prices, which come and go, a newer player will get sticker shock looking at the initial buy-in price of a Clan mech versus IS mech. They don't realize the upgrade costs needed for IS mechs to be competitive until later.

don't do it I got trolled pretty bad last week playing a 4V4 match over my lrm Raven
it was not fun or pretty

I won the match after the other three got killed but I had to listen to there crap for 7 mins
