So the server tripped out 3 minutes into a match, just as I had started engaging with an enemy mech. My team had had some voice comms activity, and as all our clients dropped out, I heard, in a thick Aussie accent:

"What the fudge*"

I was laughing so much it didn't matter that the server was dead!

But then I realised that even though the client had discoed, and that even the forum server was dead, I could still hear the Aussie guy, who sparked up a cigarette and later added the clunk-clink of ice cubes, with what I imagine was Fosters on the rocks. There was also some heavy breathing.

Here's to you, miffed antipodean, you were well prepared for server hiccups!

*replace suitably if over 18

Edit: Ch!nk, as in the sound, or as in the gap in some armour, is a rude word?!?

It can be used as mildly offensive slang for the Chinese.

Also sounds exactly like me a couple of years ago minus the Oz accent but with a stiff British one instead Posted Image And Carling instead of Fosters lol.

Yeah, that's generally a word you don't really want to use unless it's really obvious what it is from your wording. There's also one of the greatest naming mistakes I've ever seen for a tank that reminds me of this.

MWO forums are my back up plan once the servers crash. Unless of course, the forums crash as well.
