I have just bought the linebacker set (reinforcement and hero). I had bought the basic cheap pack with the three basic mechs a few days back in order to try it out because it seemed like something I wanted to play. I go to change the ominipods and see I only have access to the 3 version from the basic set I own. Did some reading and it looked like you only purchase the ones you own until the mechs are buyable for cbills. I finally gave in a few days later and decided to get the other ones so I can customize them how I want.... I finally get them injected into my account and nothing. No more omnipods but the three basics can be purchased. I even logged in and out to see if it changed. Nothing....

I understand the Hero omnis not being available for cbill purchase as that is always the case on other hero omnimechs from what I can see. But I have no access to any mech onimipods from besides the three in the basic set. What is going on here? Every other mech has access too all other omnipods but the hero ones?! Why can't I purchase the omnipods from the reinforcement pack to put on the other mechs now that I own them?

I now own all 6 linebackers can only buy the A, B, and Prime omnipods. Why is this!!!!?????

They don't have a system in place to tell if you bought a reinforcement package or not when you go to buy omnipods, so they locked all players out from being able to buy omnipods of the reinforcement mechs until they drop for C-Bills IIRC. They didn't have the system in place when the Viper dropped, and they panicked and set this system up within a week. I dislike it a lot myself, since if you buy the reinforcement package, you should be able to get more omnipods.

You can take the pods off the reinforcements you own, and put them on the standard variants own, right...?

Yes, but then I can't have duplicate ones to if I want to use the same omnipod on the other mech at the same time.

I'm not going to sit there and change it out between every match....

But you'll have to, if you want to change your build.

Just play one variant at a time then

Get yourself a good build you like on that variant and run it for a while, then after a while rinse and repeat with other variants.

That's all you can do.

Because of their inability to code access to Reinforcement Pods based on whether or not you purchased the Reinforcement pack, they've stated its either:

A.) Allow EVERYONE access to purchase reinforcement omnipods (wouldn't be fair, there would be no point in purchasing Reinforcement packs, you could just buy a basic pack and slap reinforcement omnis on it)

B.) Allow NO ONE access to purchase the reinforcement omnipods. Obviously this is the more *fair* of the two ****** choices. They chose this one.

This is why I discourage purchasing omnimechs for real money. You can't fully min/max them until pods and mechs come out for CBills months later. It just isn't worth it.

Well described and I know it's a technical problem. But you can see it in a game mechanical way as well:
Heroes (and for the time being "special" variants) are unique. If you buy one "special" variant, you get one set of "special" omnipods. You don't buy a "license" for them, but one instance of them. The omnipods themselves have "special" quality, if you will. I never perceived that as a problem. It's actually quiet "fair", even though it is a technical thing.

Yeah you can't buy duplicate reinforcement omni-pods until the mech is out for c-bills. This has been known since the Wave 3 Early Adopter days, yet there is still a post every other month with someone in a panic over it. That being said, its pretty sad they can't (or won't) figure out how to do a typical logic check of non-hero mech owned = omni-pods available for purchase for reinforcement mechs.

They should just add 2 extra copies of every reinforcement and hero mech omni pods to your inventory when you buy them. Problem solved.

I think I found a solution to this. When I took off the omnipods from the mech it registered those omnipods and I can now buy them.....

Did everyone else miss this also?

So, we can buy them but they need to be removed from the mech once to register it's there. It doesn't come off from emptying the mech via the unload button. You have to manually remove them and possibly save the mech. Then you can see them listed in the omnipod section as they have an inventory number above 0.

I'm wrong again. It will disapear if you save it in a mech again. But I think you can trick it to buy more.

You can trick it.

1. Place omnipods on a mech variation. Save.
2. Immediatley Select a different mech of the same type.
3. Put the mech part you put on the other mech on this mech and save it.

I now have two omnipods for the one variations head.

NVM, I had it work for the primes head... Wrong mech. 8) You cannot trick it from what I've found.. 8\

No you can't. You can just install the ones you have.
