How Do You Equip Weapons In Inventory?

I spent a while searching for this and I haven't found anything, hence the post.

I have a large laser I want to equip. I can see it in my inventory. I made room for it on my mech. But I have not found how to add my laser to my shark so that I have a LASER SHARK! Could someone please tell me how to add a weapon from inventory?

When in game (not the forums, just to be clear), go to your Mechlab tab. Select the mech you wish to alter. It has to be a mech you own, not a trial mech (select the right search tabs for this). From there, it should open the mechlab, which will show a grid system representing your mech. If you've already created the room for it (tonnage and crit locations) and you have an energy hardpoint able to take the weapon, just slid your mouse to the mid-right side of your screen. A tab should pop up with options. The first one should be a tab called Weapons (should default open to this). Just open the Energy tab, and select that LL you want to install. Click it and drag it onto your mech.

It's really kinda that simple. If you own one of the equipment you wish to place on your mech, it will place ones you own first. If you don't own it, it will still place it, but you will see a cost pop up on the left side of the screen (and maybe still a pop up warning saying you need to purchase that, not sure anymore).

I will state, anything you pull off of your mech will automatically be stored into your inventory (which as far as I know has no limits). If you wish to sell something, that can be found under the inventory left side tab on your in game main screen.

Most likely if the weapon is not showing in the Mech Lab is that the weapon is not compatable with the Mech, first and most likely reason for this is incompatable tech Base, if you have an inner sphere Mech you cannot fit a Clan ER Large laser to it, and if you have a Clan Mech you cannot fit an inner splere Large laser, ER large laser or large pulse laser.

Also you can only modify the loadout on Mechs you own so you cannot change the loadout of a trial Mech.

Clan Mechs are; myst lynx, arctic cheetah, Kit Fox, adder, Jenner IIC, Ice ferrett, Viper, Shadow Cat, Nova, huntsman, hunchback IIC, Stormcrow, msd dog, line backer, hellbringer, Ebon Jaguar, Summoner, night Gyr, Orion IIC, Timber Wolf, Executioner, gladiator, war Hawk, Highlander IIC, Marauder IIC, Dire Wolf and Kodiak, I think that is the complete list of Clan Mechs so any others should be IS
Assuming the large laser is a regular Large Laser it cannot be mounted on any of the above Mechs

The other possibility is that your Mech does not have any energy hardpoints
