Be the ECM Raven in the lance.
Get flushed out by a 3L and 4X Raven after the engagement.
Getting hammered by SSRM's into critical damage, only armor left is on my arms, everything else stripped down and internals are orange.
Run back to cover with the team and take position behind a Cataphract with no visible damage or smoke.
Cataphract pilot who will go unnamed starts bitching me out for hiding behind him.
Damage Cataphract pilot repeatedly until the end of the match while skirmishing with the enemy team.
After about six volleys of SRM6's and 3MLas, Cataphract still has no visible damage or smoke.


Interesting, okay, so apparently this guy was lying and just hates lights using the heavies for cover when they need help and are being chased or his critical damage was only on his arms.

By the way, I checked when he bitched me out and his damage percentage was at 89%

I really hope Solaris shows up sooner rather than later. It will get a lot of the non-team players into their chosen element. Let that Cataphract go duel other heavies in an arena, since that is clearly all he cares about.

(Also, think of all the MC PGI could rake in if they charged for entry fees into tournaments!)

Me and my buddy were discussing this exact thing, imagine a solaris where you can compete and bet MC, along with an MC entry fee. Top placing winners take away a prize (minus a commission charge from the arena). We get a competitive arena that has real stakes, PGI gets to take MC out of the economy, and if there is spectating then we have something exciting to watch,

Wormex, that is the reason I stick behind any assault or a hill. I let the heavies and assaults tank and I lend fight support, and I kind of have to do that because I`m on a five year old pc that craps itself if there is any fast movement, meaning no brawling for me and all ranged attacks. Plus, isn`t that a big chunck of the role of heavier mechs, that they draw attention from the softer fellows so they can in turn blow the crap out of the attackers?

Betting MC is probably a no go, for legal reasons.

However if nothing else, there are plenty of players willing to drop a few bucks a week to enter the "Friday Night Fights" weekly tourney just for the chance of earning a special skin, and a name on the weekly champions list. Instant income for PGI.

Naw, they'll find out they can't hack it and go back to pugging where they can safely blame their team instead of admitting where the problem is.
