Hello, I’m Dr. Derek*. I’m here today to talk to you about Yellow Pending Fever.

Yellow Pending Fever, also called YPF or BETA Anticipation, is estimated to affect 1 out of every 3 MechWarrior: Online forum users. At this time, it is believed that excessive anticipation of the BETA for MechWarrior: Online is the cause. Symptoms of Yellow Pending Fever may include the following:

• Rampant speculation
  
• Excessive worrying over game features
  
• Excessive worrying over game feature speculation
  
• Excessive ‘Mech building
  
• Non-stop questioning of system specs
  
• Constant mashing of the F5 key
  
• Fever
  
• Nausea
  
• Dry mouth
  
• Trolling (may lead to Death by Paul)

There only known cure for Yellow Pending Fever is an invitation to the MechWarrior: Online BETA. This cure can only be administered by a Piranha Games Inc. member. Current attempts to synthesize a cure have met with mixed results.


Until PGI can administer the cure to you, there are a few steps you can take to alleviate the symptoms of Yellow Pending Fever:

• Refrain from hitting the Refresh button every second
  
• Avoid the “meme thread” and other threads like it
  
• Go outside and enjoy the outdoors

There is always the hope that it will go away as soon as the open beta starts ... although death / broken finger / Broken keyboard or other technikal device in reach of anger may occur before that.
