Do people in the 31st century occasionally watch movies from the 20th and up? Does Hollywood still exist, or is it no longer the media monstrosity it used to be? Is there a planet in each realm dedicated to making movies or what? Does anyone remember the glory of Liam Neeson or the immortal Keanu Reeves? There are answers I must know.

I can just see it there.
The Second Star League brings in the Khans of all the Clans sans Smoke Jaguar for peace negotiations, and someone thought it'd be a good idea to butter them up with a movie first.
So what movie do they make them sit through?
"Pacific Rim"

The novels and game books mostly avoided mentioning anyone else's copyrightten (and especially Trademarked) names - with the curious exception of manufactorers where current motor and industrial companies were named, sometimes as a new combined company.
So no one ever mentions " the old Star Trek" movies or thinks that "Space travel didn't turn out like the ancient Star Wars films". However there are mentions of what would be very ancient classic like the Book of Five Rings and the Art of War so obviously some media from the 19th and 20th century would have survived.
However it would be reasonable to assume that there are groups of nerds in BattleTech's timelines that listen to the rock songs of the 1960s to 1980s, know who the hell Sam Spade was, argue about the strongest superhero published before 2015 and so forth. The publishers didn't want to bring attention to other franchises that would compete for attention with current time buyers though so there are not throw-back references. Buckaroo Bonzai is one of the few ones I can think of.
