Convergense, as far as i know, is one of the ongoing issues in the game. Every pilot, that has mechs with widespread hardpoints, is accustomed to the problem: when you lead a moving target to fire projectile based weapons, they convergve on the terrain behind it, which can be far, far away... Some mechs cant even physically hit smaller mechs with both arm-weapons in certain cases.
To prevent such disadvantage i suggest a button that "locks" your convergence on the aimed distance, so that if you see, say, a walking mech in 600 metres you can get an aim on it, lock this 600 metres, and from now on your weapons will converge at exact 600 metres. Then you press the button again to unlock it.
If creating a new button is too much, the same could be done with lowering (optionally) convergence time by split sec within game, so you could hold aim on the target and do "snapshots" by wiggling it before firing.
