Just came back after a lot of months away so I'm not up to date on what all has changed / will change soon.

My stable is missing a clan assault and i'm thinking about spending a little money to rectify that. Sell me on your pick(s) for best clan assault purchase?

If you want the best get Kodiaks. Marauder IIC's are also very strong.

Direwolves pack a punch but are slow with low mounts.
Warhawks feel like a poor mans Marauder IIC these days.
Highlanders are fun but hover jets suck and the CT is a bullet magnet.
Supernovas seem decent
Gargoyles and Executioners are the fast ones, best as laser boats usually.

I'll second Kodiaks and Maruader IICs. I liked both. Supernoavs are a bit to new to know how well they will be longer term.

Yup Kodiaks and Marauder IIC seem to be the way things go lately.

See a decent amount of Highlanders IIC's but nothing i have seen impresses me or makes me want one.

Kodiak for sure. The 3 is the best that is if you like dakka. The spirit is a great brawler with masc. It can really hurt. The Marauder IICs are also good. The scorch is a beast of a brawler. 2 LBX20s and like 4SRM4s or 6s i cant remember but still great.

Hardcore MLG Pro choices: Kodiak or Marauder 2C

Others: Supernova is rather fun, Highlander 2C's are also fun.

Kodiak and MAD-IIC are the way to go, if you're looking for a powerful chassis.

I've got a soft spot for the Executioner. There's nothing quite like the feeling of piling forward with a 95t wall of a mech at 90kph. The gorilla arms and limited selection of non-energy hardpoints make it a lesser chassis than the more recent Clan assault releases--except perhaps the Supernova, which suffers from the same hardpoint limitations and a lower engine cap--but maneuverability makes the Executioner fun.

here is my Direwolf UV: Moby **** / +ammo

Just need to get two more too max it out. It is very strong but you won't get alot of c-bills if you only hit like 2 targets. It's very easy to sink 600+ damage into 1 or 2 targets because of the amount of damage you can dump from this thing!

Supernovas are fun so far. The BR / 2 and A are pretty good when maxed out. I'm still working on what I want on the SV-1 and 3.

And Kodiaks are an all around killer! KDK-1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / SB

That is all I have personal experience with.
