Theres something I enjoy about adding a wild card to faction play that allows things to be switched up every now and then. Maybe its just me, but I like the idea of all around mech builds as opposed to generic play to win builds like laser vomit and whole dakka builds. Maybe its just me, which is half why I started the thread.
Often times one can drop in QP and you'll get a mech with laser vomit on something like Terra Therma and obviously doesn't work out well. You'll have dakka builds on cold maps that while not bad, cant take the same advantage laser vomit can. And finally, you can have lrm boats on maps with lots of cover.
So for the sake of mixing up and encouraging diversity (I'm not a liberal, I swear...) what do people think about the map being "hidden" until dropping with your deck?

I like loadout selection as is. In fact, PGI can further improve it by giving us the opponents' identity as soon as the countdown timer becomes live. My unit would bring very different loadouts if the opposition is KCom, as opposed to random pugs.
