Read that again friend. It doesn't mention beta for European players at all. It merely states that we can play on NA servers - presumably once they go live at launch. And yes you can buy founders, as I have - but we're only being guaranteed access from 7th August. Again, nothing solid about beta for non-US players.

Don't worry. There are non-US players in Beta. I'm not, but there are people who are and can't talk about it. Everyone has a chance. It would be nice if the devs would make a statement though so that you have solid proof.

Ochayou @russ_bullock sorry to bother, are invites sent based upon specs entered or localization ? French here, and almost under min specs. :)
Russ Bullock@Ochayou completely random to those that have purchased a founders package.

I'd imagine that Euro's could get in, but wouldn't receive the best ping. But best luck for us to get in! (Of course, since I didn't order a Founders package, I won't be getting in.)

Well, I just hope my 100 MB line will compensate for the ping.

It will not. Ping is all about how fast signal travels back and forth, while you line is capable to pass all the data, 1 or 100 mbit - it doesn't matter.

IF someone in EU were to get a beta invite cause of the NDA they would be unable to say so till the NDA is lifted, maybe consider who used to post on the forums regularly then see if they still are, liable 2 options, first they stopped being interested in MWO and walked away from it or they got beta access hence the lack of posts :)

The faster your bandwith the higher priority you have, which means that yes, the more mbits you have the smaller ping you can expect, to an extent. Goverment, banks and higher speed users still have priority over you so on average a central European player can expect ping to USA from 150 (east coast) to 300 (west coast) but 300 is an extreme, I usually have around 150-200, which is completely ok

Dammit, it didn't work. :)

Positive thinking is the downfall of the average man. Don't wait, go get a mech game to play until aug 7.

Said it before and I say it again, why does everyone wants beta so badly? It seems these people just want to play the game as early as possible, and don't realize what beta means. It means WORK. You don't play the game, you check for bugs, glitches etc etc, in a game that is still probably too buggy to be enjoyed.

I wouldn't touch the beta, unless they would pay me. That's why I appreciate all those who help piranha to beta test their game for free, making it a better game. But can't see the reason why to cry over not getting into beta...

See you all in august! :)

what games do you play and do you notice any negative effects ?
I play: Killing Floor, Halos, Mass Effect 3, Uncharteds, Shogun, TF2, ZDoom and a few more and I don't have any problems even in Doom which is an extremely fast game

Lol, you obviously haven't played a beta before because it is not like it used to be, today beta basically stands for early acess. Seriously, in the past few years I have played so many betas and all of them were basically finished products (which is what beta actually is, finished product which needs balancing and a few bug fixes) with almost no problems at all, AT ALL

Based on what they say...it's random..so you can assume that some europeans are in Beta already.....the number of europe players is quiet long.....

No beta player will say he is due to NDA. You'll never (supposedly) know if you are talking to a beta player or not

Just think Brad Pitt and Ed Norton without bruises so no physical evidence. So even if they were in the fight club they couldnt say without breaking the NDA. But since the devs have said all founders will be in by august 7th id assume they mean European founders too. I think we all just have to be patient.

Well maybe you are right, but its a matter of opinion. For example, WoT is full of bugs almost 2 years after beta ended, and its still full of bugs which made me leave the game. And that is the story of many games. I know I will find bugs in the full release which will spoil my gameplay, so I don't need to see more bugs in the beta.

Also, this game will be based a lot around progressing through mechs, which I am sure its not possible in beta (resp. all progress will be reset at release), which makes me wonder why people want to play it so badly that they complain about not getting into beta on the forums.
