Does this change reflect a decent/big nerf in Mechs survival that carry the quirk? I am loving my Orion Mk2 Vs Assault Mechs.

Presumably, but who can say? PGI doesn't share its behind the scenes data analysis so we can only use anecdotal evidence. I mean I think my Victors are doing better but I don't have the data to prove it. Just like PGI says Warhammers consistently outperform all other heavies (in a game with Timberwolves and Night Gyrs) but my experience says otherwise. So who the hell knows.

Its actually a buff.

Structure bonus' give you extra HP, but its HP that can potentially cause critical hits stripping weapons + bonus damage from crit seeking weapons like MG's and LBX.

Armor buffs are seen as a straight upgrade over structure buffs, as its pretty much free Hit points with zero chance of criticals.

The one minor nerf Structure to Armor buffs entails is that added front armor buffs means you are theoretically more venerable to back stabbing since your quirk is now only found on the front armor of the mech, but to many, the benefits of more armor greatly outweigh the drawbacks of less structure.

The big difference between a structure quirk and an armour one is that you have a choice. You can take the bonus armour off and use the weight for something else.

The meta WHM-6D will kill timby or gyr in the hands of the average pilot because they go for the CT rather than the side toros. I pug in CW a fair amount and seen many a clan pug get rolled due the lack of xl checking.

orion 2c is a great mech, not face-roll level good like timber, ebon jaguar, night gyr.
the amount of fire power orion 2c can bring is pretty crazy

yeah. Bring a UAC/20 and 4 SRM4+A, and the largest engine. Set to go. It may be no Timberwolf, but it's definitely a Alternate choice if you want to slap people around a bit.

*We discovered the Kitfox was overperforming because we saw one drop in a match once last week, so we're going to nerf it

*Also, we know nobody pilots Summoners, but somehow it's still overperforming and we're nerfing it too just for the hell of it

Armor always trumps structure. Ask any decent Phoenix Hawk pilot, the shift from structure to armor was a HUGE buff to the usability of that mech.

ON1-IIChan getting buffed warms my heart.

The 2x UAC10, 3x SRM4, XL360 build is also a riot. Few opponents in this mech's weight bracket can out brawl it, up close and personal.

That is why I was wondering about the Quirks change. The Trial Orion is a RPG in a CQC and I love to get close and personal with the Assaults. So I bought the model-A and will build that setup.
