This is probably going to be an unpopular suggestion, but I thought I'd share it anyways and see how the rest of the player-base feels about this topic.
I think it would be interesting to remove the automatic target-sharing between mechs and limit it to lances, while letting mechs with command consoles connect lances to basically establish the current status-quo.
That way units have to rely more on communication, scouting and calling become more important, teamwork within lances is encouraged, it's harder for LRM-boats to piggyback on the rest of the team and there'd be an actual reason to take command consoles.
I think it would add quite a bit of depth to the gameplay.

I totally agree that the information warfare side of things is extremely lacking, though I wouldn't want to change much about existing targeting as it can already be overwhelming. Maybe a compromise such as a "radio range" like in World of Tanks?

Yea, the more info the better. It will help gameplay on all levels dramatically. However it needs to be added.
