...you stand this thing ON HILLS?

How do you not get burned down in thirty seconds when piloting this thing?

Everyone runs from the LRM-Lock.

So much negativity in the comments, but the feedback is never the less appreciated.

LRMs on an atlas will get that reaction.

Considering I tend to stay in the back of the group, preferably on a hill overlooking the battlefield so I can rain LRMs and fire

You can play that way, but you are better off in a different mech for it.

I'm kind of worry about how yall will react if I post any more 'Mech builds.

Believe me when I say that this will not even remotely remain the case as you climb up the ranks. I'm a braindead ragamuffin potato jockey, as anyone here will gleefully tell you, and if I see a quad-5 LRM Atlas on a hill in damn near anything I regularly pilot I'll be saying "DELICIOUS DINNER".

You may want to seriously consider switching to that Battlemaster I edited into my earlier post, and also stop standing ON the hills and stand BEHIND them instead. There's a reason high-mounted hardpoints are considered the most desirable possible trait for a new 'Mech.

I'd love a Battlemaster or a Cyclops to be honest with you, but like I said my problem is I'm dirt poor and cant buy squat.

Don't put them in GD Posted Image

Better off in the appropriate section under Guides and Strategy. More constructive criticism and less reaction posts, usually.

Thanks! I was sort of worried where to put it.

The Fattlemaster I linked to runs 17M C-bills if you build it from absolute scratch, a good half of that* in the big XL engine. Selling the STD340 the thing comes with stock gets you a million back, so 16M. Take the three ERLL you've already got on your Atlas and put them on the Fattlemaster, that's another 1.2M, so ~14.8M. Eliminate all the weapons and DHS and stuff on the assumption that you've already got them, and stick to buying the base Fattlemaster, Endo upgrade DHS upgrade, 375XL, and a Beagle probe just because, and you're spending basically ~14M if you don't already have the engine.

Assuming you can manage a million C-bills per hour of concentrated play, shouldn't be too much more than a week or so for you to grind up the cash you need to fit the thing out. By which point the Skilltree PTS will be nigh and we'll have a better idea how things will work. You shouldn't need any more Fattlemasters after that, and you'll be good to go.

I prefer Hilda. You could do a budget version of that build with a standard 300, no Artemis, and shave 4 points of armor off of each arm and leg.

I decided I'd use my Loyalty Atlas as a heavy assault long-range weapon platform. He's build to tackle targets at range and to keep them pinned down with heavy laser fire and missile fire. I like to stay within 500-600meters so they won't have time to duck out of the way of my missiles.

What do yall think?

See if I put lrms on my atlas then i go super short range on all other weapons. Mine is like this:AS7-S

I buffed that build with endo, upped the engine and case.

Could even go with upgrade to pulses, add ams, and case with endo removal of a double heat sink

Turn the arm ERL into LL.
Lose the CT ERL, and replace with tag and/or put BAP in the torso with the launchers
Add module to increase LL range.
Turn AC10 into AC20
Lose the double heat sinks spread throughout
Fill engine heat sinks
Up engine to 315-320
add whatever ammo you need

If you insist on a long range atlas build, a UAC 5 will service you better than the AC10

If you insist on long range Atlas, you want a Boar's Head with 6x ERLL.
