Hi, i'm playing this game for some time, i maked some horrible mistakes and then switched to another account to start again, i'm here to express some of my opinions after knowing better the game.

MAKE A BETTER TUTORIAL

THE PROBLEM ON PUG IS NOT MATCHMAKING, IT IS THAT PLAYERS ARE NOT INTRODUCTED TO THE GAME WELL.

1: I didn't know a clan mech with XL could die with both ST's destroied, and i myself was wondering why i died with a intact CT, i thinked that this was a drawback only in the IS with the single ST loss, this clarify to me that STD engines already make mechs tankier, without considering player ability to spread damage this give's to you another component with as much armor and crit points to be in the lead of your team, if you think on the atlas, you don't have the 50% extra weight removed from the XL, but you can only die to cockpit damage, CT, or legs, this pretty much makes you way tankier when you enter zombie mode, you provided so much armor for your team that any other clan omnimech can only dream to do (In assaults i'm talking about 60+), but to enter zombie mode you have to spread damage, and let the begginers know how to do that well.

2: Buff STD engine structure, will not only balance the strong advantage to clan with their XL's but also give the option to play a tank role with battlemechs, such as the Kodiak, in a exchange in firepower. This would make STD viable and help the diversity on this game.

3: This game is very complex, a lot more than it is showed, for example most begginers don't know how damage can affect components to crit loss, that is why with IS bigger DB Heatsinks actualy make the mech tankier and that is why most players tend to put them in the arms and torsos, you are actualy improving the crit points of that mech part, this is just a example of a thing that isn't well showed in the game.

Sorry for my bad english, what you guys think?

EDIT---- It's not STF in title, i made a mistake, i was talking about STD engines.

Best solution, introduce a single player mission or campaign mode so new players can learn the game....

But then MW5 came out, and now the call of duty fanboys are burying our beloved game with their MW3 and MW4 tags (Part of the reason why mechwarrior pop is so low). :(

Most of this stuff should be obvious, honestly. I still believe that each mech should have a little drop-down tab with information on the mech and what its general use should be.

That would be great!
