So far I would like to talk about the planting and customizing the look of your unit flag for FW. Whenever your unit gets a unit tag on a planet, allies and enemies alike would see the flag of your unit. If you are a unit leader, you can use the assets you paid for to customize your flag. The customization is the same as painting your mech and slapping a decal on it. So far this purpose is to give units a better reason for fight for planets and represent your unit as a whole in Faction Warfare.

Who would use this feature?
A: Unit Leaders only
A: Unit Leaders who are role-playing as Mercenaries and Loyalists or want to have the feeling of being a conqueror.
Where would I find this feature if I was a unit leader?
A: In faction play, but only unit leaders, founders or successor can customize the flag.
Where would this flag appear if I was playing?
A: In Faction Warfare only, specifically for FW game modes: Assault-your base, Skirmish-dropship barricades, Conquest-Near resources, Domination-near the HPG station. But mostly in Dropship barricades if possible.
Why would I use this feature?
A: Because if you are a unit leader of your own group and you want see your progress or have bragging rights from your unit, this would offer that feeling.
A: To represent your unit in FW as a whole.
How would I get my unit flag on the planet?
A: Fight on that same planet until it flips.
How could I lose my planet flag?
A: Since your unit tag is tied to your flag, you can lose your flag in two ways. By leaving a faction to serve another one (Steiner-to-Davion, Steiner-to-Jade Falcon vice-versa for example) or if another unit takes over your planet.
How do I make unit flag?
A: It follows the same concept of painting and applying decals of your mech. You use color channels and decal slots.
What purpose would this serve?
A: It gives Unit Leaders and members alike a better incentive on why they should protect their planets.
A: It acts as a trophy reward for people who have worked hard to gain a planet.
A: It fulfills the purpose of garrisoning a planet.
What would I use if I wanted to create/edit my unit flag?
A: The same colors and decals that you have paid for to customize your mech. For example, if you bought the Gray Death Legion logo or Clan Steel Viper logo to represent your group in FW, you can apply that logo for your unit flag. Same for colors, if you paid for three shades of gray or green and brown you could color your unit flag.
What if a I saw a unit using the flag creation just to make derogatory symbols on their flag?
A: Take a screenshot and report it to PGI.
