I just played a FP match where my Clan team's first three waves consisted of around 10 LRM boats.

I knew it was going to be bad when they spent the first 5 minutes lurming the closed turrets on the gates. And it just got worse from there.

My urge to premptively disconnect in that kind of pathetic match is growing. It would make zero difference to the match outcome. And a half hour grooming my pubic hair would be a better use of my time.

Maybe if enough of us just opt out of this entirely unsatisfactory experience, PGI could be prompted to introduce some kind of group matchmaking/gating for FP?

Jokes aside, pay walls are bad.

I thought most of us were opting out of FP.

After more than 5000 13,500 QP matches, FP - when you luck out with a decently balanced match - is a lot more satisfying.

But that seems to be getting rarer and rare. It's farm or be farmed.

I'll take your word for it. As a solo player, I've never had a FP match that wasn't a sad, pathetic, absolutely worthless waste of time that lasted 30 minutes but was over 5 minutes in.

Just checked my stats.

Apparently I've played 13,500 Quick Play matches.

I'm ready for some satisfying immersive endgame content Soon™.

Have you tried hiding behind the lurmers and taking pot shots.

I also will fill my time with all chat taunts about how incredible my lurming teammates are and how the enemy will all die horribly.

At their backs? Or at the enemy?

Tonight I was sorely tempted to TK and get the match over with.

Then you have a problem and need to seek help. Team killing just because they use LRMs. You need to be a real special snowflake if that triggers you to the point of being an anti-social jackass.

Any large slow mech should bring AMS. It is effectively more armor. Even with 1/2 ton of ammo, since ammo was increased to 2k per ton.

All my heavies and assaults have AMS except one. Faster mechs can avoid LRM's easier and can get away with not bringing it. Clan mechs can also get away with not bringing it because of their no blow xl and speed. A slow Inner Sphere mech should bring AMS though. If they all do it, its awesome.

Drop a ton of weapons, run a little cooler, increase durability same time.

If the Bane ever gets added to the game, it's the carrier that needs it. Its philosophy is to boat, so it should be able to boat that as well.
