It's just showing off what the Clans really are: ugly and soulless!

The hell, PGI? I actually enjoyed the fact that I could paint it fully without the old silver crap. Now all of my Gyrs looks... well, idiotic.

Did Night Gyr default camo got changed for no reason or just bug? Just like when Centurion default camo got changed and few month later it's fixed and back to original default camo.

On side-note, good thing that I purchased one-shot camo on my Night Gyr.

Whats wrong with cold shiny steel. Clan equipment is meant to be spartan war machines. Plus it actually looks more like metal and not glossy plastic.

... and here I thought they were moving away from not painting the Clan 'mechs. I suppose color is just too OP. Viper next?

Hmm... is this a trick question? 75MC?

Isn't that how much the one-shot camos cost? 75-125 MC

It's really not that much.

What's a one-shot camo?

The cheapest camo I saw is 750, next are the 1250 and the most expensive 1500 camos, have never seen a 75 MC camo

No, but you have to do it for every new Clan 'mech (although not IS ones for some reason) and you probably will want to get some 500-1000 MC (which is actually quite a lot) colors to go with it.

It gets a little irritating over time, and becomes significantly more irritating when PGI goes back and strips the color off your 'mech after you've bought it (and possibly have had it for many months.)

Oh?
Just click on the "Unlockable" between the pattern/color/decal tabs and the patterns themselves. And change it to "One-shot"
They cost 1/10th of the Unlockable patterns but are "one-shots".

With one-shots, you simply can't change the patterns willy-nilly, because every time you apply them you need to pay the 75/125 MC. But if you're like me, and don't change the camo patterns much, they're a much better option.

Yeah, you can do whatever you want with colors and decals.

One-shot camos are a really good deal, in my opinion (well at least in comparison to the "unlockable" camos, hahaha)

Clans should be the one with a full camo pattern actually, you know, to actually camo their mechs? Instead of leaving these huge shiny metal areas that stand out against the terrain?

Like, if both IS and clan mechs had this problem, then yea i could understand if it was an obvious cash grab to sell camo patterns, but IS mechs aren't subjected to this for some reason...

You know, I was just looking, and Inner Sphere mechs have some bare, now shiny spots too. My Grid Iron, for example, had shiny, non-paintable bits down the side of it's leg.

They don't seem to have it as bad as the Clanners, though, no doubt.

All clan mech default camo patterns have HUGE areas that cannot be painted. No IS mech to my knowledge has this problem. I can paint my IS mechs just fine with the default camo pattern, while all clan mechs just look like some kid thought it would be funny to paint them with mohawks and leave the rest of the mech unpainted.

The night gyr used to be the only clan mech that you could fully paint with the default camo pattern, now the default camo pattern looks like total garbage. It literally looks like a guy with a fat colored head walking on metallic stilts.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the Kodiak also has (had?) full-body default color channels.
