I buy mechs a lot of the time on nostalgia and aesthetics that appeal to me. So happy the Bushwacker is here and would be over the moon for the Cougar and the Uziel.
This mech looks great and like someone else pointed out, it looks like its hardpoints would be great. There needs to be an IS assault that levels things out with what the Clans have available to them right now.

Not nearly iconic or classic enough to be considered. Would rather have Sunder.
The Nightstar may be weak in the nostalgia department but it did beat the Longbow, Hauptmann and Devastator so I wouldn't count it out.
I think that might be one of the biggest hurdles for it is ppl write it off too quickly. If Nightstar supporters post their support, tweet Russ, etc, I think it would have a very good chance of making it into the game.

What's so good about the Sunder? It's a freaking giant...
Sunder:
I'd be careful about insulting other peoples mech of choice. It's one thing to explain why a mech would be undesirable (Like how the Annihilator has a tiny engine & giraffe neck)

Right. I mean, I would not want the Sunder and I do argue against it, but people are not driven by the effectiveness of a Mech alone. It is totally ok to want a Sunder - if you are a Drac, that is.
However I hope people realize just how vulnerable the combination of large STs and fixed IS XL-engine might be.
And I also hope people realize there are a lot of fascinating Mechs with rich lore in the world of BattleTech waiting for them, if they ever decide to expand their horizons.
