Damn. I thought I'd wiggle my way in by technically drawing a JM7 instead of a JM6, and thus a 'new' chassis.

Bummer.

Unfortunately not. The Locust is not a post 3055 design, even if there were variants made after. The base model itself has to be a post 3055 "fresh" design, as it were, which is also why the JM7 entry did not make the cut, and why another entrant changed his late model Mist Lynx variant entry to a Mantis.

My lack of lore knowledge screwed me over then. : (
I just looked at the wiki for which mechs were around during that era.

Sorry man, for what it is worth. It is a nice piece, a very well done piece of art of the Locust :)

Sorry that happened. It is a nice dynamic piece. (and I for one value dynamism over linear perfection... within reason..... obviously a dynamic stick figure... probably not so much.....)

Definitely Sarna and the MUL are great things to look at, along with something like Mech Factory, for doing Battletech art, as it really lets you get a good feel for correct timelines, loadouts, weapon locations, etc. I've been buried in the lore for nearly 30 years now (damn I'm getting old) and still find myself using those (and something like REMLab for doing Mods and Customs) all the time when doing Battletech stuff. But I am a self admitted "Lore-{Godwin's Law}", and sometimes the difference between base model, variants, etc can catch one up, even with tons of knowledge on lore.

Also, for any uncertainty, always feel free to hit me up and I'm sure most of the other folks on here... I never view these as a competition, but a chance to encourage Battletech artists, period... jsut happens that some folks get nice rewards for their efforts.

But folks like Shimmering Sword, Spooky777 and Alex got their starts in this by being nerdy btech fan artists, like you or me (just a lot better at it then I am, lol)

Well, I'm satisfied with how it turned out and if there's someone I could make happy with it, that's all that counts.

Good luck to all remaining contestants.

Didn't the full scene just end with him going "Alright" pretty calmly, and walking out? Haven't rewatched that show in awhile.

That's how it always ends (It's one of his trademark lines).

Except for the one time where he has a break down when a girl dumps him. Then it just ends with him loudly sobbing.

Didn't think he calmed down the time he was fired. But again, haven't watched that show in forever.
