I started a match, Assault, Frozen City Night, piloting my Yen-Lo-Wang., After about a minute, as I was scanning the ridge, I noticed that the team kill counter at the top of the HUD said "2" (the blue number that indicates how many kills your team has scored.) "How could this be?" I asked myself; we hadn't been on the map long enough to even make contact with the enemy. I zoomed out to look around, and the kill counter dropped back down to 0.
Further experimenting revealed that the counter was tied to my current zoom level. At no zoom, it read 0, at one level of zoom, 1, and at full zoom, 2.
I did not see whether it was affected once we started actually scoring kills (I was distracted by all the explosions.)
I've only noticed it once so far, but I'll keep an eye out for whether or not it repros in the future.
(I cannot, for the life of me, fathom how this bug could occur. Some sort of weird databinding mishap? Or a truly terrifying misplaced pointer?)
EDIT: No repro just now (seperate instance of playing the game, Assault, YLW on Forest Colony Snow.) I have no idea how I got into the state where it did repro; possibly something involving Alt-Tabbing into or out of the game.
