Can anyone who knows the lore, weapons and mechs in MechWarrior tell me if their is a weapon like hammer missile that was in MA1 or MA2? Serious question not trolling. Looking for a legit answer. They say it was LRM10's that were time detonated I don't believe all I read on Wiki.

Here is a video showing the weapon in question (it's the timed fireballs)

There's like inferno missiles and some other types, I don't think there are any like the mechassault sticky timed missiles. But my experience comes from either mechwarrior 3/4, mechassault, or trying to find things on sarna.

No idea what those mechassault weapons really do as I've never own an Xbox (on the grounds that I waste enough time on games as is) but here is the list of all the alternate munitions on sarna. If you don't see something similar on there, there probably isn't anything similar in battletech or mechwarrior.

They were basically dumbfire explosive charges, you hold a trigger to set the explosion delay, release to fire, the missiles stick to whatever they hit (mechs, rocks, buildings, etc) and exploded after their "fuse" ticked down.

But I didn't see anything that stuck then exploded in your list.

don't have an Xbox so only got to sample the game at a friends house ONCE. But It could be a Version of the Thunderbolt Missile system. Which pack all the Power of a LRM system into 1 Missile.

They seem like a missile with a Bombast Laser mechanic.

You might be thinking of a variant of the Arrow IV missile.

I believe I once saw in the instruction manual for either MA1 or MA2 that Hammers are classified as MRMs (Medium Range Missiles). That would make sense, seeing how powerful they are. The only issue is that Day 1 Studios decided to add a charge-up mechanic to them (just like they did to the PPC).

In TT there's satchel charges some infantry use to take out a mech's joints but I can't recall any sticky mech scale weapons like that in TT.

There is actually a PPC capacitor that works like that sort of in TT.

The weapon closest to the Hammer missile would be the medium range missile, which due to having no guidance system allows for more missiles to be launched compared to srms or lrms.

Mech assault huh? Can we get the giant spider mech with the data core in it? That thing was pretty cool. But it had super ECM and tons of LRMs so there would be no end to the tears.

Well thanks for your help guys! I hope PGI will add a weapon like this to MWO, it would relinquish my MA1/MA2 withdrawals.

The srms in Mechwarrior Online are probably closest to the hammer missile at this point in time, as they are both dumbfire weapons that can do serious damage at close range. Medium range missiles won't be available in the game for some time, I'm afraid.
