Yeah I know, I'm complaining about free stuff. But I was all excited when I saw I was #14 on one of the Bushwhacker leaderboards. Then swiftly disappointed when I checked what the prize was. A hanging brass knuckles cockpit item. Really, PGI? Pretty much anyone who preordered the Bushwhacker at any level got three of those. Everyone who owns a Bushwhacker already has three of those, and that's what you're giving out as a prize for its leaderboard event? Come on.

I got the 300 MC and the 5 mill credits so quite happy about the regular rewards.

Yeah, those rewards are fine, but giving away a cockpit item that everyone who qualifies for the event already has three of seems really freakin' stupid.

PGI does not have to give anything. Many people will try to get their names on the top of the Leaderboard whether there is any prize or not just to see their name up there and compare their performance to others on a head to head basis.

PGI is kinda stingy, but in the same vein, this means people aren't necessarily trying to win the top prize... which makes this data not as useful as it could be.

At the end of the day I'm going to win something for free. Pluss its a good challenge to try and top the table. Think im ranked 13th atm.

Yeah but where would you be if people were actually competing for the prizes? I was in the top 10 on the S2 until I saw the rewards were the same for everyone on the top 75. Now I am sliding down and will only jump back in if it looks like I will fall out of the top 75...maybe.

It is a good way to dissuade any sort of foul plays, and reduces potential player fatigue that can result from playing too much to get the prize.

The problem is not that it is a cockpit item - the problem is that it is a cockpit items Bushwacker pilots either already have (early adopter) or don't want (later preorder, like me). So it is pointless.
Any other cockpit item would have been ok. In fact, I would haved loved to get this adorable Hanse&Melissa item. But no, I'll get this stupid prole item of a low life street thug.

Its probably best this way to keep the leaderboard shenanigans down to a minimum, but still it would have been cool to be able to choose like a warhorn (faction ones ain't cheap).
