What If C-Ac Has No Gh Limit/has +1 Gh Limit?

However i remembered that LBXs have no GH limit, you can practically shoot LB20X at the same time. So what if C-AC could capitalize with having +1 more GH limit, or even remove it entirely?
Okay, so LBXs have +1 GH, that means you can fire 4 C-AC5 at the same time, 3 C-AC10 at the same time, 2 C-AC20 At the same time. But, UACs have 1.30 worth their weapons' ghost heat limit.
3 UAC5s would produce 3.90, so 4 would it would exceed ghost heat by 1.2.
2 UAC10s would produce 2.60, so 3 would produce 3.90 and would exceed ghost heat by 1.90.
1 UAC20s would produce 1.39, 2.60 would exceed ghost heat by 0.60.
Needless to say, the UAC ghost heat limit is relatively the same, but pure C-AC loadout (w/o UAC) would yield a +1 ghost heat limit, while the C-AC and CUAC would remain linked.
Would that be an enough buff for the C-AC to be useful?

I used them on my Kodiak, because why not. All that needs to be done is to make them worth half the damage.
Velocity is one way to do that

Hmm, i did not know that. Nevermind this thread anyways.
EDIT:
Tried 2x CAC10 and 2x UAC10 -- it ghost heated on me.
That's because it's the same as a 4 cUAC10 LOLpha
Because they're linked, and the link uses the highest multiplier of the group.
Same as 4 ERSLs+4ERMLs=8ERML GH

I agree. It's kind of silly to pander to the ammo-switching of LB-X for Clans, but not IS because standard ACs are not LBs. Where's my 11 ton, 6 slot AC/10?

Well, that's not really what i'm suggesting at all. I'm suggesting that C-ACs could capitalize as the "cooler" weapon, by being able to fire 1 more weapon without breaking ghost heat on pure, unadulterated C-ACs, but is still linked with UACs.

My personal opinion in all cases is that laser beam durations should be cut down to 0.5 seconds and shorter with longer cool down times, ACs, UACs, should all have burst or auto fire mechanics and no ghost heat...
And we'll see how **** goes from there (since we know PGI will never get lore friendly with the weapons).

Your particular case would still have the same issue, because it's both the higher multiplier and lower cap
It would help the cAC20, I guess, but that's about it
0.81 heat isn't worth that much for the 10 series

It's still something right?

You've paid double the weight to get zero jam chance?
It doesn't really jam much on me anyway.
Besides even with single fire, it is 3 times superior to its tabletop version. It's actually an RAC/5 on just single fire given about 8 seconds of use.
Besides, I was asking on what's the difference where the AC/20s can't be allowed to not have ghost heat, when a UAC/20 for half the weight can do the same thing without ghost heat. Paying double the weight should entitle me to not endure ghost heat.

Difference is 40 damage over 0.33 seconds for a pair of cAC/20 versus 40 damage over 0.66 seconds for a single cUAC/20. I agree that 24-28 tons should entitle you to not have to endure ghost heat for cAC/20 and isAC/20 but not for cUAC/20. A pair of cUAC/20 is 80 potentially pin-point damage at 400 meters fully moduled up, which is 194 meters off from being exactly what got quad-UAC/10 nerfed.

The IS and Clans shouldn't have ghost heat with 2 AC/20's in the first place.
I am not so sure. That in combination with lasers would make TTK pretty low in some builds. Scorch and King Crab could erase most mechs with one shot then.

Scorch is already erasing 'Mechs in one shot, King Crab needs all the help it can get.

LB20X has no Ghost Heat, for those who do not know
Which of course means it will get GH, and it swaps to Dual Gauss
