Seems kind of counter intuitive that your work towards a faction wouldn't help to align you visually and personally with that faction.

It is all the more reason, why we should have a way to encourage people to play as a loyalist.

Better off just deleting faction play entirely.

I’d rather have it reworked.

The trouble with the loyalist factions is that they do not cater to the cbill hungriness of the game.

Mercs make cash. Cash is king.

So, wouldn't it make sense for loyalists to get something to make up for the lower cash?

Yes, I think that adding C-bills for every rank could help out.

give loyalists the same bonus mercs get then. if your an frr loyalist and frr get 3-%cbills for population, then give the frr loyalist that cbill bonus.

simple, mercs then gain the ability to change, but they get paid the same regardless.

theres also the problem of loyalists having no reason to stay loyal after they reach rank 20

faction loyalists at rank 17+ should get a passive bonus to all cbill rewards based on their faction rank

for example:
rank 17 = passive +2.5% cbill bonus for all faction warfare matches
rank 18 = passive +5% cbill bonus for all faction warfare matches
rank 19 = passive +7.5% cbill bonus for all faction warfare matches
rank 20 = passive +10% cbill bonus for all faction warfare matches

also you should be able to change factions once per season for free without losing any faction points. mercs should only be able to change factions once per season too.

It would also be wise to have repeat rewards like C-bills, MC, and GXP. However adding Faction Mechs, colors and decals should replace idiotic Cockpit Items like Cup-of-whatever and such.

Ok, this is another idea I propose about making loyalist appealing. Loyalists should be encouraged to bring faction mechs for loyalty boost. The way how it should be run is depending on the mech you have it will have a faction marker telling what faction it belongs to with a 1x multiplier based on the class. The higher the class the higher the number and it will add up if you have a dropdeck of those mechs. So if you had 1 Light, 1 Medium, 1 Heavy, and 1 Assault from House Kurita, that would give you a x10 multiplier boost to loyalty points. In order for the multipliers to work, you have to be in the faction that corresponds to that mech. For example, you can't be a Davion and expect a 3x loyalty boost for piloting a Kurita Dragon. This isn't made to punish players but to encourage them to try different faction designs. If the weight class boost is a problem, all weight classes could share 2x each.

Now you might be asking, "Will why did you put the FRR logos on the Zeus and Jenner?" It's quite simple really, in lore the Free Rasalhague Republic never existed long enough to make their own equipment, so they had to make the best of what got from the Lyrans and Dracs. So in the Kungsarme', it was a common sight to see a Dragon fighting alongside a Zeus or a Panther backing up a Commando. Gamewise, it's a way to help out FRR players who don't have any national mechs of their own yet.

Also as you rank up, auto unlock extra consumables that way you can redivert those skill points into other things.
