I'm quite thankful that Locusts and Commandos are already grounded due to their lack of jump jets.

But what if they had in this game? Very small hitbox, 150 KPH, can jump 90 meters? Posted Image

Hilariously, there is in fact a Lore variant of the Commando with JJs. I believe that it was a WOB variant that was mainly used to hunt Steiner.

EDIT: I was right. The COM-7B. Uses SSRM4s, a small cockpit, and JJs.

Man...those spiders are hard enough to pin down and kill. One of my tiny locusts? Oh man...talk about OP.

But...there'd be a lot of YT videos or Locusts chasing down assaults while the Benny Hill theme plays in the background (Yakkity sax?)

Cheers

STG-3G

This is with stock weapon load outs, not taking into account possible hard point inflation. Also Gauss ammo for JJ's.

That's what the Stinger 3G could look like in MWO, using a 1.4-ish engine multiplier (120*.14 = 168, likely given a little boost to 175), I cite the Javelin as the example as it uses, depending on the variant, between 1.4 and 1.52 as an engine cap multiplier.

20t jumping humanoid mech, that could pull very near Locust ground speeds.

Ehhhhhh, just, no. We need to have actual, unique playstyles added to each weight bracket, especially 20 tons. The STG does nothing that can't be done with the LCT, or the WSP, or literally any of the other IS 20 tonners,

i kind of which my locust had some, but pointed up, so i stay stuck to the ground. the locust has that annoying ability to catch air by its own speed and end up uncontrollable until it hits the ground again.

The stinger and the wasp are locusts with jump jets. It's a 20 ton mech, in order to have the jump capability that the forum warriors are so scared of it will have to be a lot slower, or sacrifice it's fire power. Same goes for the commando. Unless you think the myst lynx is OP.

I'll tell you one thing the Stinger does that the Locust can't, use jump Jets.

As for the Stinger vs Wasp, well in universe they are the two most common mechs in the IS.... That being said the 3G Stinger usually beat Wasps.... It's that second MLas that made all the difference during 3025.

Like I said, you could swap out the Stinger for literally any other IS 20 tonner for any given role, and they would perform it just as well if not better.

So, they put it in the arms instead of the waist?
