oos your right! Machine guns it is
i am very interested in a Medium LRM boat. AH is doin it 'ok' for the moment.
If i want a dedicated Med LRMer, Trebuchet is the best of all?
Trebuchet is 'designed' for it.
Other options include Griffin (3M especially), Kintaro (any variant)... for less 'dedicated' LRM boats, Shadow Hawk and Wolverine also work fairly well.
This isn't using LRMs, but this is a Trebuchet. Filmed by Lordred's Camera Commando (though it is my Treb.) This is using the only non-LRM Treb.
This is a Kintaro, chase cam recorded by Lordred's Camera Commando (plethora of LRM-5s and SLs or SPLs for fun.)
For the Clan side...
Stormcrow can do the job, I often back it up with 2 SRM-6s (one in each arm) and have 2 or 3 LRM launchers (if 2 LRM launchers the last one gets dedicated as a NARC). This requires taking various Omnipods and putting them together so this option isn't "cheap" to start.
From what I understand the HBK IIC (Clan version) has a missile variant.

Folks already suggested most.
Just my 50 cent:
lrm 15 w/o artemis are crap, (even more crap then with artemis).
i'd like to point out that, if you don't have DHS, you probably do not have either of the other upgrades (endo and/or ferro).
In short, no matter what you do, your Centi is currently trash.
I'd recommend you stick with the Stalker 3F(c) trial'mech (it's free to use at least) for time being.
If you got enough C-bills together you might want to screw a lurmboat together.
You want to look at
Hunchback 4J
Hunchback 4SP
Trebuchet 7M
Archer 2R
Jagermech 6A
Catapult A1
Catapult C1
Catapult C4
All are faily cheap to put together.
Or you shoot for something fancy like a Battlemaster, Awesome, Mauler, Stalker or even a clan'mech.
Tho, more expensive (IS'mechs are in dire need of an expensive XL engine) you get a lot more bang out of them.
Thanks for the mech list I will think about gettin a heavy or assault mech after i get a computerthat can do at least 40 fps. At 25 fps i don't wana handicap my team so much but i still wana play in the meantime so i'll stick with light and medium LRM mechs. At 25 fps you can't really hit anythng where you need real good aiming. From your list I am going to get that Trebuchet!

Thnaks for the vids and pointers! I am saving now for a Trebuchet. But I like the Kintaro too. Kintaro I never used before but kinda always wanted. I guess I have to compare the quirks.
Now that I've been using LRM10A for 4 days I like it. Spread seems kinda tight. I was tryin out the free CN9A sticking a TAG and ML in there but I think maybe 2 ML is better?
I want to stick to Inner Sphere mechs because they are more customizable than clans.
I can change engine size faster/slower, or switch with XL or standard, can change the endo or ff armor is I need to, there are lota good weapon quirks, missiles all shoot at once instead of the stream, and the laser takes less time to do same damage and are heavier but seems a lot cooler so i can take less heatsinks
Inner Sphere mechs are better than the clan ones i think and i really like how the missiles just all shoot out at the same time it looks sikk!!!

Both sides will be able to change engine sizes.
The key is to go for Battlemechs. Not Omnimechs.
The Inner Sphere will soon have Omnimechs too.
I think you will like the Kintaro especially if you end up liking the Trebuchet.
The laser or tag thing depends on you. Would go with Tag. Why? Because you don't plan on fighting up close.
That's a good idea! And I get another ton of ammo as well. Good thinking
I was looking at the clan battlemechs. There's only 4 so I guess that would work our for a dropdeck when i decide to try out Factions War.

@OP, blink twice if you need help letting go of the lrm's - there are people willing to save you and hook you up with some ppfld!
Hahaha
Main reason I am using them is cause my PC doesn't have upgrade slots and it's a Intel HD graphics with i think 256 MB video ram. I get 25 fps max, at training grounds. In real games its around 21.
with that lag i have trouble hitting anything moving that's farther than 100 m out, at point blank range even i was having trouble hittin a legged Viper
LRMs are the answer to playin until i get a better PC
So in order not to handicap my team too bad I'll just use medium LRM boats. I do some damage to the enemy, a lot of suppression fire for map control, and even get a kill every once in a blue moon
