Killboard Cockpit Item + Mech Attachement

- Idea is to get Cockpit item which would unlock "3d rendered" board placeable instead of one of decals as bonus.
- And attaching this board would additionally count as one more "weapon" behaving like AMS (enabled/disabled) => lit block or unlit to reduce visibility.
- Color: green is just a placeholder, while shown gray metal would be same as one of primary/secondary/tertiary color, Leds would take color like color-able decal.
And since this would go into decal slot, it would not need that much work to implement. And it would open way for new kind of visual enrichment of mechs. Like attachable light (Warhammer mech anyone?).
= = = =
As for number of lights, 12 per weight class is more than enough for 10 games count considering that matches limit number of mechs of each weight class. And having any of bars fully lit is another way to display something awesome.
Additionally, statistics should be better kept on per mech basis as players filling certain role would not have many kills and then switching to mech which is meant for hammering down nails would make player look bit bad. (But global stats would still be better than nothing, right?)

Don't you love it when that awesome mech next to you in QP does nothing? Would not you want to know which of your teammates are actually ones from who you can expect assistance?
Would not you want to show to your teammates that when it gets to group assault, you are going to be right next to them shooting?
+ there is really no nerf. You can turn that light off to hide counter values. And considering how many players do not even consider camo (use very bright color) ...

How about a decal that can just say "stroke my ego"
In my sniper role, I would love some moving glowing lights for faster target acquisition, the 3rd person drone targeting upgrade! ANYTHING that nerfs good camo and shows motion better gets my vote, especially if you place it CT rear (ST rear for IS XL models please).
Besides, what the heck are you doing expecting support in a QP round, what server do you play on? I find that if you do not expect support in QP, you will have much less stress and frustration... like driving a car, expect the other mechs to do the wrong thing at the worst time and be prepared to fix that situation yourself or suffer the consequences. The one guy in QP that is the White Knight type is probably on the other side of the map busy supporting the other guy that tactically overextended himself first.
No e-peen decal for me, thanks for your offer.

Just use the achievement system and have a special decal for each chassis and have something like 20-100 kills to unluck a kill count decal for it. With a bit of coding they could even make it have kill count marks equal to the number of kills you got in the last 5-10 matches and have it change automatically after each match.
I don't really like your idea of having your killboard counter actually take up space in the mech, it'd just be rather pointless and nerf yourself for the sake of showing you got a few kills in your last 10 matches.

Under this situation your idea would penalize the good player.

The good player wouldn't penalize themselves by wasting a slot on the thing.

Yep, We all understand the mentality of the kill counters. Give them any reason to e-peen and they will kill steal like a boss.
No thanks, Try COD or something.

Wasting what slot exactly?
A cockpit item slot? A decal slot? A slot on the weapon list to the bottom right of the cockpit? Your mechs all pack loadouts like this below or something???

Maybe the kill stealers are not confident in YOUR ability to secure the kill...

I don't see the issue...extra income for PGI and you don't have to buy it if you don't want. Maybe PGI could make a censored and uncensored version of cockpit items for people that have issues with it like the naked units in the EB mod for Rome Total War.
Lore is already long out the window so immersion isn't a good excuse at this point.

Read the OP, he suggests making the kill counter take up space in the mech as equipment.

Like cockpit items and screens already do? The way I read it, he mentioned decals, a cockpit item and the screen being able to be toggled on/off (from being in your line of sight) via an extra "weapon" line in the bottom right weapon group area like how AMS works.
I didn't see him him write anything about it taking slots or tonnage...

What if...and hear me out now...it went in place of...wait for it...the kill counter cockpit screen that's...already there?
Any specific reason for picking the black dude with the bright colored shirt there?
I'll even it out so there's we have some equality here...brb looking for disabled people gun recoil gifs.:
Btw...seems a bit strange that you'd be against this, Bishop. Weren't you the guy who wanted a correct shade of pink implemented into this game? Seems like pink would make you stand out just like a jackass showing off their e-peen to the world would...

not sure how having color options is the same as being a raging epeen egotist, but maybe it's just me.....

No, I am not. It takes following:
- Visual slot in Mechs cockpit = instead of side arm/medkit/ whatever.
- Visual slot for decal on body of mech.
And it adds extra control to list of weapons (weapon groups) to toggle this attachment power, so you do not have to be xmass tree.
Most of people here got the idea and either liked it or disliked it. (Not that disliking it matters since it is non-intrusive and unless they buy it, it will not affect them.)
But actual real negativity comes from those who did not understood that it does not take away anything important from your mech. And missed that as visual enrichment it is voluntary as any other visual enrichment.

All it basically is a massive AC/20 measuring contest.
If we're adding functional cockpit monitors, I'd like to see the Heat sink/ammo status/Auto detect no signal back.
