One side has to bottleneck themselves and the lights have to break their necks just to stop the timer from ticking down (that's how poor Juodas got one shot, there, because PGI hates lights)

By the time the team with the "losing" side is even halfway there the "winning" side usually has all their snipers and lights/meds in position gunning them down and stopping any flanking attempts and by the time both teams are entrenched one side is much fresher than the other

From there it just snowballs and goes to ****

As bad as the old placement was the new placement is far, far worse

last 3 plays, enemy team had the counter down to 11 secs before anyone on my team could make 'the circle' to stop the count.

this 'improvement' not so improved....

OP is really late to the party.

This is old news. We all know that - that's why only multiplier farmers will end up with domination on alpine.
Feb patch 'should' fix it.

Haven't played much Alpine Domination, actually. Here is the only screenshot of that combination I took recently. Our side was closer to the circle, I think.

How hard can it possibly be to playtest this kind of crap before pushing it to live? Seriously. It takes two people less than two minutes to find out if the "hill" location in a KotH mode like Dom is broken. Spawn one player on each team with identical builds, race to cap, compare timers. If not equal, move cap closer to the team that took longer to arrive or move spawn closer to cap. Done.

Sigh...

You guys were asking PGI to fix it, they fixed it. You reap what you saw.

In the end a better team still wins, regardless of where the circle is, because just like any other "objective" it is utterly irrelevant.

No. Just a different amount of spiteful sarcasm. Or maybe a different definitions of the word "broken". I mean it was "clearly" "broken" before, and PGI "fixed" it like they always "fix" things.

Yeah, the placement is absolutely one sided, you really need a squad of "special" kids to lose if you end up in the favorable position.

Who even thought this placement was better than before... How did this leave play testing/quality assurance?

Terrible map is terrible at all game modes. It needs to be the next one up to be redesigned!

The placement on Alpine its broken (more) since the last "fix" , and the same goes for Crimson and Plexus, imo....

They did a rework, Polar Highlands was the result.
Then outcry kept it from being removed so suggestions on locating modes in different areas were utilized to make it better.
Domination is the only real problem mode.
Suggestion for change along with a couple other Map/Mode changes in this topic.

Here is the situation:

Players: " PGI, apline domination circle placement is so unbalanced, Team 1 is screwed on that map"
some months later...
PGI: "oh ok... here is a fix"
Players: " PGI, you didn't fix anything, now team 2 is screwed"
PGI: "you yourself said that you did not like team 1 being screwed... we listened... you know what, we won't listen to you anymore. You don't know what you want."

Are they removing Alpine, Domination, or both? Only real way to fix it.

Remove it from faction play as well.

It's the same on Crimson, the Dom side is too close to the tunnel side spawning team.
Put it on the island or underpass middle and give both spawns equal distance.

I also think they should put the Dom where theta cap is on Peaks and bring back OG spawns for it.
