Just to make a point to anyone and everyone who says that my (The OP's) position on playing in FW is "play my way or get out"..
It most certainly IS NOT..
My position to FW play is.. PLAY.
When somebody jerks around in FW, its the equivalent on stopping your car in the middle of a busy highway to jerk off, blocking traffic and causing a jam in the process..
I don't mind you ***********.. but DRIVE or get to the service lane and let other people drive.
FW (invasion) has objectives, social rules and a progression to the way it should be played if you want to win and not have a bad experience. It was put there by PGI. Just like a highway has rules as to how to drive on a highway.
If you don't want to win, at least don't drag the 11 other people on your team down with you.
I don't mind it if you don't know how to play, as long as you are there to learn. I don't mind you bringing sub-optimal, or even trial mechs.. I really don't...
But if you KNOW how to play and "you're to drunk to care"... well then buddy... yes, GET OUT of the game.. sober up.. and come back.
The match I described in my OP had many people who did not want to play, did not know how, and did not care..
I've, personally, never seen such a bad team. And I've been in this game for a long time..
That is why I gave zero flacks about disconnecting. In that moment, my 4 mechs would get farmed whether I stood still or tried to solo the whole 48 enemy mechs myself. It would make zero difference for the team, and I would have ruined my whole night.
So PLEASE, lets stop this pointless bickering over the nature and character of players and the mode itself.. this is NOT what this post was intended for..
Please POST YOUR EXPERIENCE, and that's it.. no need to comment and spam / flame / hate / salt / bittervet / drag up old wounds / namecall.
Please.. be civil.
