I'm unsure what to do here.

Have I not attached something correctly?

I can't seem to put the mech (highlighted in the image below) into my drop deck for faction warfare :(.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for taking time to read my post
David

I think I worked it out. I need to be in a clan to use clan equipment? That's not fair :(

Your avatar indicates a Steiner loyalist and the Arctic Cheetah is a Clan mech. For FP your IS dropdeck can will only allow the use of IS mechs.

Become a traitor by breaking your loyalist pledge to Steiner so you can either go Clan loyalist, merc (need to join a unit or make your own) then go Clan (others will correct this) or freelancer, with a 7-day penalty before you can drop again, iirc.

FYI you can not mix Clan mechs and IS mechs in the same dropdeck, it is one tech or another.

thank you, I appreciate the help mate o7. Oh, can I ask one last thing. How do I know if something is a clan mech or an IS mech?

When you click select mech to go to your mech list just above them is a slider you can adjust to show IS, Clan or both.

And, as in the above screenshot in the upper left, it says Light Clan.

And here too, where you can also review payloads outside the game.

Easiest way to identify Clan or IS mechs, is look at it's weapons. Clans have C at the start of different weapons names. Compare few and you will notice what I mean. This is particular when you are looking them in store.

Over time, you will learn to remember most mechs by Clan/IS.
