That's what I do for all PTS's, including Energy Draw (Spoiler: it sucked, all 5 times).
Now, the real trick is, how do they address feedback when the PTS STARTS less than 2 weeks prior to release?

Just be nice if Piranha actually came out and said so, owned up to the delay, and maybe told us something about why. As opposed to the usual Piranha Black Vacuum Void of Noformation

Well Russ said the PTS SHOULD be coming this week, that is the latest on PGI news.

Then the final implementation is going to be delayed. There's no realistic chance Skilltrees 1.0 will be going in during the February patch. And if it does anyways, we're all going to pay for it.

The PTS is just a formality. We will get the Skill Tree without any of the feedback implemented. Maybe the following month they might address a couple of the issues people had. I foresee a statement to the tune of "Player feedback was noted, but there were no issues that should prevent the skill tree from going live, so here ya go!"

Much more like an actual test to see if all the nodes do something ingame , as we know just how good the testing part of PGI was up till now, I would not be very surprised if a few did nothing and some did 150% instead of 15%...

I'm still taking any bets on pinpoint being a skill still.

I'm thinking the opposite. I suspect that they realize the skills tree and the resulting elimination of the rule of 3, is going to seriously impact their bottom line and they cannot allow that to happen given their need to keep funding up for MW5 development. Thus, the PTS and its apparently tiny testing window (for such a huge change) is just a smoke screen to allow them at the end to say "boy the PTS was sure valuable and the community sure gave a lot of feedback. We'll were gonna listen to your collective voice and take some time to digest all of this data and your ever valued input. So for now the skills tree revamp is on hold until we get all this info sorted out." And then we will never hear about it ever again except in vague terms similar to inverse kinematics ala: "yes we're working on it" when some poor sucker asks about it at a town hall.

Yeah, i get the feeling that it will be a case of "Here's a PTS for the new Skill Tree,....But it's getting shoehorned in the way it is now anyway"

personally i would rather this then,
work threw 6 interations of PTS, working to make the Feature the best it can be,
just for someone to make a Poll and get all your work thrown out on assumed informantion,
not factual information, making all you did irrelevant(Power Draw)

supposedly the New Skill Tree is supposed to be HotFix ready,
so they can do quick Changes and still have it out with the Patch, & without problems,

Get your meta-aramid suit on; you just suggested that PGi can "do" something. Your post will garner many replies, and none nicer than mine.
By the way, I am looking forward to the PTS and the implementation. I think a skill tree will be better than a skill ladder.

Id rather they implement their ideas first and then fix them. This ofcourse imply that they would flesh out their ideas better and actually fix them and im not talking about listening to people afraid of changes. Take the map change for example. was a strong defender of it(there was like 3 of us) since it was going to be the base of more/better/new information (warfare)... so what happened? they added mech directional arrow on UAV, tweaked the size and thats it... Whole lot of trouble for nothing. That map change happened just as the Cyclops was about to get released with his Tacticon B2k command consle and it did what? increased sensor range by like 50 meters... i remember that one time when that was useful, just kidding its just another useless addition.
