I predict new mech pack pre-orders (predicting single mech offerings with lower cost/mech as you bunde chassis varients) will come with a fully unlocked skill point "pool" that will negate the cbill requirements to work through the skill tree.
Coupled with free premium time (to cover xp costs) as a purchase bonus, PGI would have a compelling sales incentive for old players to look at new mech packs over grinding out the 1+billion c-bills needed to fully unlock there old stable.
Point the second - eliminating the current (initial) 9+mil c-bill cost skill tree cost for new mech packs is equivalent to the previous module bonuses for pre orders.
And lastly, I predict "skill points" (freebies applied to any mech, covering xp and cbill cost) to be added as store items for MC, event prizes, and as loot box awards.
I also give the whole skill tree experiment a 50% chance to die on the PTS like energy draw, infowarfare, and the still-born great rebalance.
