And then go review how they voted in the discussion threads for the finalists to the latest round of champions. I am betting a lot of "high heat" builds are about to get a LOT worse for new players.

Summoners are losing their 5% speed bonuses for example. Also the supernova quirks are in the clan pdf.... sneak preview kids.

That still doesnt make your builds you submitted any good.

You just cannot post nothing at all if you have nothing good to say, can you ? Straight to an insult which isn't at all relevant to what is up for champion selection ? None of my submissions made the short lists. ALL of Larsh's submissions did though, and a couple of his of his were duplicates/minor variations of mine.

So it was a popularity contest and you lost.

I tried out my base-build Jester, which is as it comes from the store. I can one-two the LL and ML side for side for a good little while before I overheat now. This is with all the heat and cool run boxes ticked but you have to spend a lot of skill points. I'd guess that the Clans will benefit a lot from this.

Im excited as it will breathe new life into some mechs like the X-5, Shadow Hawk, and even Dire Whale. Helping them get jankier, shootier or even tougher on any of these wouldnt be bad. Shootier Ultra-Violets? Yeah! Look the eff out!

Good thing they gave us the PTS. This just doesn't work like that. We need more iterations on that before this goes live. looks "patchy".

This is a start, but it will be a furthur way to balance, giving monster mechs, less than 91 pts, or even limiting available trees to others. The values per node for IS, and Clan can also be adjusted. This on top of baseline chassis quirks/dequirks should lead to more subtle ways to balance. Even adjusting node cost(either xp or cbill) can be used on a case by case basis.
