Overall, I am not impressed. More bad than good.
Issues:

Converting Historic XP is way more difficult than it needs to be. I can't click on the arrow to move it all over? I have to type in the exact amount I want to transfer, and you dynamically change the amount I have as I type so I have to remember the exact amount to type? Why? Why no +/- control, or slider, or something that is remotely intuitive?

Why can we build out the skill tree with XP/GXP I don't have? It lets me build out the entire tree with one or both types of XP, whether I have it or not. Finish building out all your tree and then realize oh, I don't have that XP. So now I have to undo 80% of the 91 nodes of skills. Bad design. Even worse, if you were actually using both XP and GXP you can't tell which nodes were unlocked with what XP. So if you only have to change say 5 nodes, you'll have just start guessing which nodes to undo because the interface doesn't tell you what nodes were unlocked with what type of XP. Really? Why are the XP nodes not color coded to match the XP of the color used or something to indicate how it was unlocked when building out the tree so if you make a mistake of spending resources you don't have you can see where? Or better yet - don't let me spend what I don't have.

Upper Chassis Skill tree is fubar. This is pinpoint skill, arm reflex skills on mechs without arm weapons/arm articulation all over again. This tree isn't about making "meaningful choices or compromises" it's forced XP and C-bills into DEAD skills for many mechs to unlock the useful torso skills. This is just a bad, bad design. Arm and torso should be separated in their own skill trees. We shouldn't be forced into spending resources on skills that have zero affect on the mech we are playing.

Time. This is going to take a ridiculous amount of time to build out hundreds of mechs. Ugh. Not even remotely looking forward to that. This may extend my hiatus from MWO. We all know there are going to be "meta" tree builds for the skills. We should be able to template these skill tree configurations and stamp them out using the correct type of XP we have in inventory with only a few clicks, not hundreds.
