So... none of this should be a surprise to you...

The revamp of the Skill Tree has been designed with a number of core principles:

• Facilitate a drastic reduction of inherent 'Mech Quirks.

SP (Skill Points)
Points used for tracking the number of Skill Nodes unlocked on a 'Mech.
• Unlocking 1 Skill Node counts as 1 Skill Point. All 'Mechs possess a total of 91 available Skill Points.

Every 'Mech possesses a total of 91 available Skill Points, and every Skill Node you unlock will count as 1 Skill Point for that 'Mech.
Once you have unlocked 91 Skill Nodes your 'Mech is considered Mastered, and no additional Skill Nodes can be unlocked.

...but if you're still pissed I believe there's a place for this feedback:

Okay WHAT?!? You're honestly complaining that you can't max out every skill tree, and somehow saying that this is nerfing your mechs? Even though they didn't have nearly this many bonuses in the vanilla game? People can't possibly be this stupid...

Well overall, mechs run hotter now, so there is that. But its across the board so, I still disagree with the OP.

I'll just put it nicely, but I can't guarantee further responses will be as nice.

You are clearly missing the entire point of re-doing the skill tree system, because not allowing you to unlock every skill node is intentional as well as being a good thing.

I would argue that we get too many nodes to unlock.

I would also argue that clan mechs should get less nodes.

P.S. 91 is a really weird number. Why not something even? Posted Image

I can get onboard with that. I expect that "# of possible SP" becomes the new balancing mechanism. So Timbie gets 61 and EJB gets 71 and the SMN gets 91 and the Victor gets 181.

You always have at least one power gamer who is ticked that they have to think about and choose what bonuses to give a 'Mech (and which to forgo) as opposed to being able to max out everything.

I do agree, though, that underperforming 'Mechs should get more skill points and overperforming 'Mechs should get less. I am looking forward to giving the whole system a go later today.
