After getting my @ss handed @ me in my urbie for 2 games straight by this korean name guy, I decide to hop on my ACH to repay the favor.

(And of course, he didn't show up in my match que again, PGI's way of repressing veangeance and denying satisfaction)

Anyways, a few matches in, I was like, "why the hell did all of my surprises failed?"

And during one match in particular, I was incensed. "How the hell are you lrm locking me when I have ecm on?" I was mad as hell and going off in the chat about this guy may be cheating.

After an early death, I decided that I was going to look up why my ecm seems to be failing. I mean, I was ready to press the report button and stuff.

"Could it be bap? nah no way, i'm more than 360m out..."

Hop into next game, research material from previous game suddenly clicked. "Um... guys, why don't I have the ECM line below my weapons?"

Another loss after early detection, exit game,

"No f-ing way, I'm an ACH, and I never touched this mech in mechlab since like 4 months ago..." Then I discovered. I never put an ECM on my ACH and didn't discover it for 4 freaking months until now. Durr.....

Yup, I was the moron tonight. No cheating involved.

Bought Maulers, played them and they were popping like corn after some shoots. Kept playing, kept exploding...was totally frustrated that I do not seem to get along with this mech, although everyone else does. Been in the mechlab dozens of time to change the loadout, nothing works untill I realize:

I still have the stock armour on it! 46 of 100 in the CT!

Reminds me of the time when I forgot to change my drop deck and ended up bringing my Wolverine with BAP, TAG, NARC, AMS, 2 Streaks and Medium Pulses on Community Warfare. Good thing it wasn't on Invasion

It happens. I remember playing for a couple of months with a 6xSPL Arctic Cheetah without realizing that it had almost no armor on the arms because I converted it from a 2xERLL build which didn't need the arms

I dropped in a warhammer with 20 rear ct and 16 rear st armor for a few matches and wrote the fragility off as it being an XL... lol

I just did a moron thing and alpha'd a marauder IIc in the leg on my team at beginning of match yesterday cause my work computet had my "F" key set to alpha when its normally my legs facing front. I yelled " sh** sorry!" And he said to practice in the training. Could have beeb worse as itwas a full battlemastrr 3xlrg pulse and 2x mdpls into leg. Sigh.....

stuff happens like equipping wrong ammo ending up with nothing to shoot. Alphaing your weapons and realsiing, damn that was a different mech and then being near death because of overheating.

I think I may have your stupidity beat. Last week, I played for 2 hours worth of matches in my CDA-2B (5xMPL), then switched over to my X-5 (4xMPL, 2xSRM4). Except... ummm... my brain didn't quite make the switch. Got confused why my damage output was lower than normal. Played 3 whole matches before I realized I now had SRMs and should probably be firing them....

Sigh. The human condition kind of sucks some days.

that's good that you admit a mistake OP, most would not and it shows high character. However, you shouldn't assume cheating at all. It is very rare, so try and assume it is user error 1st.

Been there done that. Had a Maddog outfitted with missiles - of course and an LB20X in one of the arms. Was shocked it all fit. Played a number of matches in which that damned LB20X would be destroyed in no time. At first I just figured that arm was getting shot a lot. Then one match I just brushed by and enemy weapon and it was destroyed. I knew there was something wrong. Sure enough I didn't have any armor in either arm and was maxed out on weight - no wonder the LB20X fit.

As long as none of you are the slow moving assault mech loaded with LRMs that I'm forced to spectate as the last mech left alive at the end of a losing match, you're okay in my book.

I only moron when I'm trying funky builds and forget to bring the right ammo types since I'm using Streak 2 and SRM 2.

haha yeah reminds me of my first UAC/5 build, ammo was 50/50 UAC/5 and AC/5 ammo, nothing like tons of crit padding.

Pro tip... Always try new builds in testing grounds along with changes to existing mechs.

Reason.. Your won't look like and idiot shooting a teammate just off the pad.

Its funny how many so called good players skip that step and then say "I was just setting my groups"
