gauss without charge good 4 all , so i vote YES.
PPC 15 dmg to 1 location on 810m's ? NO, why ? cz be much snipers again.

I can see the cERPP 15 PP FLD being a powerful quirk for certain mechs; think an 8/8 Omnipod bonus to the Summoner (1 E hardpoint) or Adder (2E, but both in the lower mounted arms).

Ice Fridge also available, and while it has 2E, it's suicidal (removing half your armour) to mount 2 ERPPCs.


As a general rule? Hell no.



Gauss Charge could be removed, but then you'd need to change a few things. Don't let two fire together. Enforce chain fire on Gauss if multiple are fired together. Otherwise, you'll get nasty things such as:
DWF-PRIME

Still plenty powerful, but a touch below what Dual Gauss is now.

You'd also need to increase the cooldown to 5s at minimum (presently 4+0.75, so barely a change).


If you want Dual Gauss 30 PP FLD, keep the charge.

As long as both factions have 12ton gauss and 6 ton 15pp damage. Might not be lore, but it is very fair and balanced with the "EVIL" quirk removal.

Better idea.....leave the charge aspect but let you hold it indefinately but after a certain point it starts generating heat.

Then how do you stop it?


You don't always want to fire after the charge.
