I'm wondering now if they will integrate quirks for certain mechs into the tree itself.
For example: Let's say you have an Atlas and it is known as a juggernaut of armor and able to take a lot of damage before going down. Instead of giving it a flat bonus to the chassis, you spread that bonus among existing skills, boosting each one. So armor hardening and structure go up for each skill a bit and when you max out that tree you get the full effect of the bonus on top of what the skill tree normally gives you.
This could also be applied to weapons, like a mech that focuses on ballistics like the hunchback 4G could get even more cooldown or range with it's ballistic guns.
Victors could get more Jumpjet bonuses than normal if you take the JJ tree.
If they work it in like that it gives folks options to make the mech it's traditional lore 'role' but also doesn't force it down anyone's throat with a flat bonus.
Unless I'm missing something?
