PGI need to re-evaluate the total damage per ton for all ammo types. The increase of 15% Armour and 25% structure (Heavy 'Mech) is going to cause a discrepancy in kill potential due to the REQUIRED more ammo.

AC2 - 100rounds/ton = 200dmg/ton = 33% Increase against Live
AC5 - 40rounds/ton = 200dmg/ton = 33% Increase against Live
UAC5 - 40rounds/ton = 200dmg/ton = 33% Increase against Live
AC10 - 26rounds/ton = 260dmg/ton = 33% Increase against Live
GAUSS - 13rounds/ton = 195dmg/ton = 30% Increase against Live
AC20 - 10rounds/ton = 200dmg/ton = 42% Increasse against Live
SRM - 133missiles/ton = 286dmg/ton = 33% Increase against Live
LRM - 240missiles/ton = 240dmg/ton = 33% Increase against Live

Please don't suggest that a player MUST put 8 Skills in 'Mech Operations to get Magazine Capacity because Magazine Capacity needs to be twice as powerful just to combat the Survival Tree (Which everyone will go down) and even then the actual skill does not IMPROVE anything it just becomes a mandatory skill.

Magazine Capacity currently gives

AC/2 - 10
AC/5 - 5
UAC/5 - 5
AC/10 - 3
AC/20 - 1
GAUSS - 2

My "quad" C-U AC/5 "Daishi" can deal 3500dmg before she runs out of ammo on PTS, so no big deal.

I agree that if TTL is increased (which it should be) ammo per ton should be as well.

700 rounds of AC5 ammo is 23.5tons, don't be a jerk with your bad build.

Wow I never thought about it but your observation is right. longer to live with more HP means we need more ammo to accomplish the same task. You are right more ammo per ton is necessary or it is a direct nerf to every ammo build. This includes srm, lrm, gauss, and ssrm.

I agree. Not sure AC/10 needs another buff and I don't really know why you went with 26 instead of a more natural 25, and I'm not sure we should also give Clan 'Mechs a buff considering the gobs of ammo they already carry and how making that easier makes heat matter even less for those builds, but in general I agree.

While we're at it: buff SRM ammo to 120 per ton just so that it can divide evenly into every SRM type. Also so my LCT-3S can carry 360 rounds instead of that meager 300.

Side note:

Why the heck do the Clan AC/10 and Clan UAC/10 get an increase of 10 with the Magazine Capacity skill? Why isn't it 9? For every three tons of ammo, they get one whole extra shot. It's not a huge deal, but it's incongruous and weird.

Eat it: It is Daishi... Clan OP mech.
And it is C-U-AC/5 ammo. Thats 60 per ton + 10 per ton from new skill tree...
That means 700 rounds = 10 tons. Perfection of Clan OP-ness.

i dont think so,
a DWF with full Defensive Tree only gets +8CT-Armor +10CT-Structure,
even a AS7-K with full Defensive Tree gets +12CT-Armor +12CT-Structure,

1AC20 round(20Damage) or 3AC10(30Damage) or 5AC5(25Damage), can over come them,
and that bonus is per Ton of Ammo, so more ammo you have the more you get,

Even as unbiased mod. How dare you to say that Clan is not OP. Or that Clan may be weaker in any aspect.
(And stop me from triggering someone in process? That's evil.)

Disclaimer: I love IS mechs. But I play Clan, not because those mechs are stronger. But because I like wider configuration of hardpoints.
If MWO had Warhammer which looked and felt like Warhammer, I would probably be on IS side.
And I stand firm with claim that: "MWO is asymmetric multiplayer game and no two different chassis of same tonnage should be equal."

Certain, specific Clams

Whales were good, once upon a time, but the skill nerf at Steam Launch neutered much of their mobility, relegating them to Turret status, low mounted turret at that.

Banshee comes to mind as generally superior, Mauler once before (but IT got nerfed), because of the higher mounts and speed...but it is nothing to the Kodiak 3

Some Clams are downright Trash Tier
Some are the best mechs in the game

There's a pretty wide margin.

im still impressed by how much armor the Highlander gets, i dont own an Atlas so im not sure how much armor you can load on it.
My Heavy Metal on the PTS, with quirks, gets +42 front CT armor, i have 8 rear armor and 150 front, 94 on STs, 86 on arms and 100 on legs.

The Orion IIC can carry more armor than a Zeus now as well (111 front armor vs 101, both rear 8). it also moves as fast hits harder and runs nearly as cool.

But yes i agree that ammo will need a buff, on that Highlander it would take 7 ac20 shots to reduce CT armor to 10.
