It really can screw you up in the middile of a battle if you forget to open them at the beginning of a match. Set up a default option to have weapon bays always open, please

Or they could just make them instant-opening, like Crab's and King Crab's claws.

If I'm packing LRMs, I leave the doors open for long-range bombardment, and close them at close range. I don't think it makes a difference with the game mechanics, but I think it adds flavor. Makes me happy, anyway.

I'd rather keep the toggle manual. Unless they removed it the game gives you a small damage reduction of about ten percent when the doors are closed which is a great deal for catapults,stalkers and a few mechs that have missile doors unlike the cover less ones like centurion or atlas.

Missiles should impact on the bay doors.

Pain is a powerful memory tool.

I think this is probably the best solution mechanics-wise. The Archer is even more disadvantaged because of the rabbit ear doors on top of the delay.

I personally dislike just how wide (both the Catapult's and Archer's) doors open. I think they should open up to 90o maaaaybe slightly more, but definitely not the complete 180o they do now.

My old suggestion was to cut the doors in half then move the other half below.
