The presented skill tree has some problems (as many have posted) but it also has one BIG problem. Its not as fun as it could be!

There are too many options , manyof which are non inspiring incrementals that require lots of other incrementals (that you possibly dont want) to reach . I think the only exception is magazine capacity, which adds some interest to one tree. My suggestion is VASTLY reduce the number of skill nodes and have powerful special abilities at certain points. This would be balanced by players having to choose how deep to go into each tree, as has been done many times before by other more mature games.

Below I have an EXAMPLE of what the trees may look like.

I have gone for three trees, with the player would have 40 points to distribute between these, meaning they could get all three 11 point specials, one 21 point special and one 11 point or one 31 point special.

I have tried to deal with concerns re. keeping it simple, not having linked nodes, and allowing multi-weapon specs, but again this is just an example I have come up with in an hour, and would need to be tweaked.
